October 2009

This You Tube video changed my life.  It also inspired Operation Beautiful!  I know I’ve posted it a million times before, but sometimes there are new readers – and EVERYONE should watch this! :)   Next week is the annual Delta Delta Delta Fat Talk Free Week.  A new Fat Talk video will be released [...]

When is a Food “Worth It”?

Sweetened coconut vs. unsweetened coconut – who’s the winner? To me, the winner is pretty obvious – SWEETENED coconut tastes so much better than unsweetened, especially on top of oatmeal!   Sweetened coconut is fluffy and delicious.  And sweet, of course! Unsweetened coconut is hard and bland tasting.  :( I did a side-by-side taste test [...]

A Fast Five Miler

Good morning! So sorry for the delay – I was running.  :)  Before I left, I had PB toast: And then I slathered sunscreen all over myself because I had read a post about skin cancer on Oh She Glows.  I have been really bad about sunscreen on my long runs.  In the past, I’ve [...]

All Hail the Queen

It’s official!  We’ll be spending our first wedding anniversary in England! We’re flying to London on Christmas Eve and spending 10 days in the Husband’s homeland.  We last went to England in 2006 for our college graduations.  I was looking through our old photographs and I couldn’t help but say, “Dang! I wish I had [...]

Recommitment

Sorry for the lack of posting last night… I needed to disengage from the computer!  The Husband was feeling sick so I took care of him, and we watched Adventureland, which was pretty good.   I also filled out my Disney Marathon application: Today is Recommitment Day for Team in Training.  I’m running the Disney [...]

No Knee Sleeves!

Can you believe I’ve been friends with Megan since June 6 and I haven’t been inside her apartment yet? A while back, Megan said that I could use her apartment gym (mine is terrible) whenever I wanted and I decided to stop by and take her up on her offer.   Her gym is LOVELY!  [...]

Miami vs. FAMU Tailgate Recap

We won! We won!  :)  Actually, we crushed FAMU 48 to 16. It was an excellent night for football!   The ride down to Miami was fun.  We listened to The Game’s Documentary and did a fair share of rapping. I also did some work on the laptop. :)   My light lunch consists of [...]

My Love Affair with Running

Today has been one of those days when I’m eating like a “real person,” not a “food blogger.”  AKA I’m grabbing food from the kitchen like I’m not photographing the choices and putting them on the Internet for thousands of people to see.  :)  Whoops.  Don’t judge!   Post-nap cereal (Cascadian Farms Cinnamon Crunch): And [...]
