1. WORKED!  A lot.  🙂

2. Filled out the application for my passport name change.  We are going to England for Christmas!  🙂

IMG_3161

3.  Drove to the pharmacy and got my photograph taken for my new passport.  It looks like a mug shot.  Oh well, I only have to live with it for the next 10 years. 🙂

IMG_3167

Here’s my OLD passport picture (I’m 16 in this picture, but at least I bothered to put on makeup and overpluck my eyebrows. Did you know you aren’t allowed to smile anymore, apparently?):

IMG_3162

4. Ate lunch – an asparagus and kidney bean whole wheat pasta.

IMG_3158

IMG_3160

5. Modeled my new hair color.  It’s a dark brown again – running the sun lightens it so quickly!

IMG_3180

6.  Ate a Clif Mojo bar for a snack.

IMG_3165

7. Purchased new concealer and powder.  MAC is expensive, but it is so worth it.  My last tube of concealer lasted two years!

IMG_3198

8.  Admired this lovely sweatshirt and contemplated buying it. ;)  I would’ve if that stupid wolf boy wasn’t ruining it.   Team Edward!

IMG_3196

9.  Awkwardly photographed Maggie taking a bathroom break.  Doesn’t she look annoyed?

IMG_3203

10.  Ate an apple.

What have you done today?  🙂

  • Diana October 12, 2009, 4:38 pm

I would be annoyed too if someone took my picture while I was in the bathroom. 😛
    That pasta looks awesome. 🙂

    England? That’s cool!

  • Heather October 12, 2009, 4:40 pm

Yay MAC! It’s an addicting place to go, for sure. I listened to the New Moon soundtrack all day 🙂 Thought you might appreciate that!

  • Evan Thomas October 12, 2009, 4:40 pm

Omg that photo of Maggie was too funny. She clearly wanted privacy

  • brandi October 12, 2009, 4:41 pm

    England will be so fun!

I LOVE MAC, too. I need to order more, actually.

  • Amanda October 12, 2009, 4:41 pm

I worked 8 to 3 and had three dogs named Bailey come in… I declared it “Bailey Day”… Then I came home, picked up my dog, and went to Starbucks. Now I am home doing laundry and cleaning the house.

    2. Drove to work without any DC traffic
    3. Spent too long on facebook, twitter, blogs
    4. Ate white chili for lunch

  • Amy October 12, 2009, 4:49 pm

this was a cute way to format your afternoon post! and i personally adore MAC–I’m so happy you enjoy their foundation. Isn’t it the best?!

<3 aw maggie…let her have some privacy! haha.

  • Laura (On the Threshold of Greatness) October 12, 2009, 4:50 pm

I haven’t really done much today. It’s a holiday! 😀 I’ve cleaned a little bit and I’m about to go get my oil changed and car washed.

My passport photo is hideous. We’re not allowed to smile in our government work IDs anymore either. A neutral face must make it easier for them to identify you or something like that.

  • Erica October 12, 2009, 4:51 pm

This is such a cute post. I can’t believe they won’t let you smile in your passport picture! What have I done today:

    1. Worked, 2. Ran a fast 4 miles, 3. Learned new group fitness choreography, 4. Dreamed up a delicious dinner, 5. Laid with Frank, 6. Wished it was the weekend again, 7. Drank a latte

  • grace b October 12, 2009, 5:01 pm

Three hours of work on my research project that I have a meeting for tonight (I’m in undergrad). Now taking a study break of Greek and dinner. Then hoping my energy keeps up and I am gonna tackle some homework due Wednesday.

Your list is quite impressive! 🙂

  • Ali@ Food, FItness, Fashion October 12, 2009, 5:04 pm

I have to get my passport redone too. It expires in April and I need it for our honeymoon (woo hoo)! I love that picture of Maggie! Oscar gives me that face all the time!

  • Tracey@tropicalhappiness October 12, 2009, 5:05 pm

I lucked out with my passport… I had to renew it in February, and then I got married in May. If you change your name within a year of getting a new passport, they will update your name change for free… you just have to send in new pics.

    I like the new hair!

  • Aimee October 12, 2009, 5:09 pm

    Great family day today.
    1. Long walk with husband and son to playground.
    2. Played like a kid – swings, slides, climbing
    3. Walked back to car.
    4. Lunch with family and my mom and my aunt
    5. Ran 3 miles and for the first time I felt really good through the whole run
    6. Now sitting and watching my 2 year old take an awesome bubble bath

All that and I have to go to work tonight! I can’t resist making the most of a weekday that my husband has off from work. There is nothing that melts my heart more than to hear my son say “I love doing things with Mommy and Daddy.” I am excited about making butternut squash as part of dinner.

    Fun post!

  • Ashley October 12, 2009, 5:10 pm

Worked, Worked and worked some more. Almost out of here to hit the gym.

Where do you go in England? My boyfriend moved to London so I’m there every other month! Love it there!

  • Lauren October 12, 2009, 5:13 pm

    Very productive girl!

You just reminded me that I need to get my passport name changed too! We are going to Italy in the spring and I just realized that this little task is something I can NOT forget to do.

Now that you’ve done so many things today, time to sit back and chill tonight, right? 😉

  • Bernadette October 12, 2009, 5:13 pm

my day has been work, work and avoiding work…

BUT…I must say, I am LOVIN the hair!!! I spend a small fortune on my hair color (at the hairdresser) and had no idea you could get such beauty on your own!! I think you said it was dark golden brown?? What brand? It looks awesome!!

    • Caitlin October 12, 2009, 5:15 pm

i have been box dying my hair from home since i was 14. i wouldnt recommend it if you are trying to go lighter, but if you want to go darker its so easy. i really like loreal preference brand. the color was called dark golden brown.

  • christie, honoring health October 12, 2009, 5:15 pm

Today is my birthday and I was off from work. I took my time waking up, read blogs/wrote my blog. Did some yoga, went to the grocery store to shop for the BSI ingredients. Chatted with one of my yoga teachers and just now finished preparing the BSI entry. It is in the oven now and I am hoping it turns out!

  • Nikka @ HealthfulGirl October 12, 2009, 5:32 pm

Today it drizzled in Los Angeles, which means run for your comforter and turn on the heater! This weather makes me not want to do much of anything, nevertheless my ‘accomplishments’ for the day as of 2:24 PST are:

HAHA Haven’t we all managed to overpluck our eyebrows at some point, lol Loving the new hair color, and I was surprised to find out that you aren’t allowed to smile in drivers liscence photos anymore. I went to go get mine updated and had a big cheesy smile on and the lady told me to ‘tone down my smile’ … Craziness I tell ya

  • MarathonVal October 12, 2009, 6:55 pm

Caitlin, my Google Reader hasn’t been picking up on your recent feeds the past 2 weeks… any idea what I can do to get this to work again? Thanks, I miss your blog! 🙂

  • Nicole October 12, 2009, 7:45 pm

I will definitely be trying that haircolor! I spend way too much 4-5 times a year on that! Today I went to work, cleaned when I got home, posted on my blog, checked blogs and Facebook. Now I’m waiting for my husband to get home to go for a run.

  • Paige @ Running Around Normal October 12, 2009, 7:45 pm

I miss having dark hair. I had dark hair for about 4 years, and some of that time it was almost black. I started foiling it about a year back – I like the change but I wish I could go back and forth without damaging it!

  • Tammy (Defining Wellness) October 12, 2009, 10:49 pm

That picture of Maggie seriously made me laugh out loud. And I agree — Edward all the way! Total hotness! Almost done the last book — so psyched for the soundtrack this month and the movie in November!!

    Haha, poor Maggie!

When we got our passports last year, we didn’t smile either! I wore my coat that day which made me look like a Russian spy and my hubby looked like an Italian mobster. They do look like mugshots sometimes! 😉
