Italian Feast

in All Posts

It was a lovely afternoon in Charlotte today!  It was chilly out, but perfect weather out for a lovely 4.0 miler.

Tonight’s dinner was amazing… We had a delicious Italian feast.  Earth Fare sells frozen bulk mushroom ravioli, and it’s just to die for.  With grilled zuchinni, sweet marinara sauce (canned), and buttahed herb bread.

That tube of Gourmet Garden Italian herbs is really coming in handy.  I squeezed a bunch into the pasta sauce…

… And I mixed some into melted Earth Balance.  I spread it over some olive rosemary white bread, and it was just so perfect.   I went back for seconds.  Yum!

To bed I go!

A big thanks to everyone who listened to Peter Hollen’s song and spread the word about the new Operation Beautiful music video!  I appreciate it. 🙂

I love that your grocery sells bulk _frozen_ ravioli – that’s so cool! We buy ravioli in the refrigerated section in 2 serving packs..

  • Errign March 7, 2011, 8:52 pm

Glad to see the positive review of the herbs in a tube. Always see them, but am hesitant to buy 🙂

That ravioli looks delicious! And I’ve seen those tubes of herbs before but never bought any — how easy to spread on toast like that. Perfect!

    • Caitlin March 8, 2011, 8:50 am

I was always scared of them too but that Italian one is really good!

  • Susan March 7, 2011, 9:26 pm

Randomness, but I made the Perfect Baked Tofu last night, and you were right – it is perfect! It’s a great protein for salads, but also on it’s own. Thanks!

  • Tanya @ Vegan Faith March 7, 2011, 9:28 pm

Does the ravioli have dairy in it? It is so hard to find pre-made ravioli that is vegan!

    • Caitlin March 8, 2011, 8:51 am

It’s vegan 🙂 from Earth Fare

  • Faith @ lovelyascharged March 7, 2011, 9:28 pm

I’m unbelievably jealous of those ravioli – although I suppose now I’ll just have to try to make my own 😉

Perez Hilton might still post the video, cross your fingers for a slow Charlie Sheen news day!

Also for your Charlie Sheen joke of the day:

Did you hear that cocaine use can make you pale and sweaty?
Yeah, it’s called the Charlie Sheen.
