Some of us are running.
I had a lovely run this morning. I did 4.5 miles, about 0.5 mile longer than my goal per my training plan. This week hasnâ€™t been so great in terms of my trainingâ€¦ I really did emotionally re-commit last week, but the past few days have been crazy between the clinic move, my work trip, and everything in between. Iâ€™m starting to realize that whenever my week is even slightly weird, itâ€™s gonna throw my workouts for a loop. Thatâ€™s okay â€“ as long as I still do it when I can.
Not only did I quite a bit farther than required, I also pushed it really hard. Wahoo for speed!
Came home and made a light by tasty lunch. My appetite was crushed by my workout â€“ does that ever happen to you? Iâ€™m sure it will kick back in soon â€“ oh, in approximately an hour or so.
My brother-in-law recently showed me how to make â€˜juiceâ€™ with my Vitamix blender (which, by the way, is expensive as crap but tooooooootally worth it). The Vitamix is so powerful that it just eats up everything I drop in, essentially creating juice when you add a little water.
In the blender (this made two drinks):
Loads and loads of raw kale
A whole apple
Juice of half a lemon
Two cups of water
Six drops of Stevia
Itâ€™s frothy at the top but pretty tasty. Like drinking a salad!

Iâ€™m looking forward to kickinâ€™ butt over the weekend and doing a really long run. Gotta get back in the saddle.
