Help!  My butt is glued to the couch.

IMG_5924

I’m having one of those “I KNOW I should be training for my upcoming triathlon” moments but I seriously cannot motivate myself to move.  It’s been a lazy week.  Lazy weeks are fine, of course, but the trouble is my mind is saying YES and my butt is saying, “Stay seated!”

I think you know what option I’m going to choose.  Heh.

There was more of this today… Just covering our bases.

Yes, the Husband and I wore matching shirts today.  He walked into our kitchen and we were both surprised to see the other had selected a Girls on the Run coach’s shirt.  Neither of us wanted to change so we walked around like fools all day.

Eats, eats, eats!

Lunch was a English muffin, egg, Mmmm Sauce, and spinach.

IMG_5877

The English muffin was Food for Life brand – it was pretty good!  You know, for a muffin made of brown rice.

Toast and sunflower buttah:

And dinner was leftovers from last night. Featuring more Mmmm Sauce, of course.

IMG_5917

And some So Delicious coconut milk ice cream.  This stuff smells like chocolate brownies!

Okay, friends.  The Husband has convinced me to unglue myself and go for a walk.  In our matching shirts, of course.

I’ve been glued to the couch reading blogs for the last few hours 😀

Feels kind of nice to just relax! I wish I could get my hubs to go for a walk, but he is already in bed at 8 o’clock!! And I’m actually about to join him… We are a bunch of ole farts 🙂

  • Kris June 19, 2011, 7:56 pm

Oh yay for matching — DH and I do it all the time unplanned. That’s what many years of happy marriage do 🙂 Enjoy your walk and Sunday evening!

  • Rebecca June 19, 2011, 8:00 pm

Yum…I actually really like those Food for Life English muffins! That egg sandwich looks super delicious!

  • Laura June 19, 2011, 8:08 pm

Ha. I think you missed an opportunity for a snarky title there: “Next Stop: Matching Jogging Suits”, perhaps? 🙂

  • Baking 'n' Books June 19, 2011, 8:10 pm

I needed to read this. Oh my, I love coming here. I just can’t explain it…

You guys are too cute with those shirts! Hope you enjoy a nice leisurely walk. It’s Father’s Day…practically a holiday 😉

  • Averie @ Love Veggies and Yoga June 19, 2011, 8:10 pm

Color coordinated and matching attire for couples is the new mommy and me 🙂

    Kidding!

I do that type of thing all the time with my hubs too. Same colors, same vibe in outfits, we are that way too.

  • Samantha @ Health, Happiness & Skinny Jeans June 19, 2011, 8:12 pm

I had a lazy week too. I think we all need those from time to time. It helps to re-energize the mind and soul in my opinion!

  • @HilaryFleming June 19, 2011, 8:20 pm

Sunday is a great day to relax and take a walk. I’m going to try to fit in some yoga after my baby goes to bed. I’m thinking of a triathalon myself, I’m going to have to take a look at all your training entries. It takes some serious confidence to rock the matching outfits, you go girl.

  • ashley June 19, 2011, 8:22 pm

we have a run just like that in our living room! 🙂

    • ashley June 19, 2011, 8:22 pm

      *rug

  • Kelly @foodiefresh June 19, 2011, 8:37 pm

Ha! Brad and I somehow manage to put on matching outfits all the time. Sometimes one of us changes and sometimes we don’t.

  • Suzanne June 19, 2011, 8:42 pm

Your mmmm sauce is a lot greener than mine turns out. Do you do something different?

Have you ever tried Luna & Larry’s Coconut Bliss Dark Chocolate ice cream? It’s incredible.

  • Allison @ Happy Tales June 19, 2011, 8:51 pm

That’s so funny that y’all wore matching shirts! Ryan and I accidently did that once last Memorial Day while visiting his mom in TN — obvi w/ limited clothes due to 1 duffelbag, changing was not an option.

  • sarah k. @ the pajama chef June 19, 2011, 9:04 pm

    matching shirts….aww 🙂

  • Katherine June 19, 2011, 9:07 pm

    O how I love watermelon….

  • Gina @ Running to the Kitchen June 19, 2011, 9:07 pm

haha, i love your matching shirts! I don’t think my husband and I even have 2 of the same shirts.

  • Maryea @ Happy Healthy Mama June 19, 2011, 9:14 pm

Your matching shirts made me giggle a little. Enjoy your Sunday evening! 🙂

  • Shannon @ My Life As I Live It June 19, 2011, 9:20 pm

It’s amazing how you end up on the same wave length, here recently the hus and I have color coordinated without realizing it, if I can get us out of the house it stays that way, if he happens to catch it while we’re still getting ready he changes, it’s cute though. One Christmas we wore burgandy shirts and got to his mom’s house and she was in burgandy too, it was hi-larious!

  • Ashley @ Ashley's Adventures in Alaska June 19, 2011, 9:24 pm

I’m glad to know that it’s not just my husband and I that match and don’t care. We have the same Under Armour hoodie, among many things, and it never fails that we wear it on the same day and both refuse to go back upstairs and change. All I hear about is Mmmm Sauce right now. Guess that’s just a sign I need to try it. 🙂

  • Molly @ RDexposed June 19, 2011, 9:25 pm

When I moved into an apt in September, my dad showed up wearing the same shirt I had on that day. I’d rather match my husband than my 55 year old dad-hahaha.

  • katie @ KatieDid June 19, 2011, 9:37 pm

funny matching shirts, that made me laugh. try udi’s gluten free bread, soooo so good!

  • Michelle (The Runner's Plate) June 19, 2011, 9:41 pm

I need to make myself some mmmm sauce!!

My husband will purposely match me sometimes. I think it is cute!

  • Ashley @ the fit academic June 19, 2011, 9:43 pm

haha, love the matching shirts – that’s hilarious/adorable!!!

Ice cream that tastes like brownies? Um, yes!!!
    Matching shirts <- CUTENESS!

  • Lindsey June 20, 2011, 12:15 am

That’s funny me and my husband do that all the time, walk out wearing the same color or similiar shirts. Great minds think alike, right!?

  • Jen June 20, 2011, 12:22 am

Awww…unintentionally matching tees – this has totally happened to my hubby & me. On one such occasion, it was our last day home visiting family – naturally, the day everyone wants to take pictures! 🙂 Have to admit, though, I sort of love those pics now…

  • Khushboo June 20, 2011, 12:48 am

Random but I love that zebra-print rug; it adds such an elegant touch! That coconut milk ice cream looks like the perfect way to round up your eats- chocolate+ coconut= match made in heaven!

  • LKH June 20, 2011, 2:38 am

I just found your blog last week after googling reviews of the Spinx Run Fest. I’m signed up to do the 1/2 Marathon and your post made me really excited for it, and after that post I was hooked! I was at Wal-Mart today and I noticed they had the canned pumpkin that you talked about looking for out of season, it was on the baking aisle (with cake mixes, etc)!

  • Hayley @ Oat Couture June 20, 2011, 3:03 am

I definitely get that feeling! 🙂 You’ll be back training in no time, enjoy the little break!

  • Alexa June 20, 2011, 3:11 am

That egg sandwich looks mighty tasty.

Matching tees = cute! Me and my dude end up matching sometimes without even realizing it.

  • Jamie AKA "Sometimes Healthy Girl" June 20, 2011, 6:53 am

Good for you for relaxing! You deserve some relaxation every now and then, especially when you’re always on the go.

  • Yolie @ Practising Wellness June 20, 2011, 7:17 am

hahaha! Matching shirts = too cute 😉 xyx

  • Yolie @ Practising Wellness June 20, 2011, 7:19 am

Training routines and exercise patterns ebb and flow…I’m exactly the same, no worries! I think it’s completely natural, but I know you will get all motivated really soon…exercise is such an important and big part of your life, it’ll happen when your body’s chilled and relaxed as it needs to. Enjoy the laziness! 🙂 And best of luck house hunting xyx

  • Miranda @ Working Mom Works Out June 20, 2011, 7:20 am

Whenever I unintentionally match people, I always say we’re doing a choreographed dance later in the day. 🙂
And I’ve had those English muffins, they are pretty good. But then again, I haven’t had a real one in 3-4 years. <- SAD

  • Jumanah @ Healthy Living in the Middle East June 20, 2011, 7:20 am

I think the matching t-shirts are super cute!

I really need to make some mmmmmm sauce. I keep reading how good it is!

  • Katie @ cooklaughmove June 20, 2011, 7:40 am

I totally recognized the GOTR coach’s shirt! I wear mine or my tye dye race shirt at least once a week!

  • Chelsea @ One Healthy Munchkin June 20, 2011, 7:49 am

I had a lazy day yesterday too. It’s so hard to be productive on Sundays! 😛

Your lunch looks delicious – I haven’t had an English muffin + an egg in ages but you’ve got me craving that now.

  • Paula @ Eat: Watch: Run June 20, 2011, 8:19 am

I am OBSESSED with sunflower butter. I almost wish I never tried it in the first place, because I go through it SO fast. Originally I got it as a substitute for peanut butter hoping I wouldn’t like it as much and it would slow me down.

    Nope.

    I go faster.

Oh, and my husband would TOTALLY change his shirt. We had the same color on going to work one day (we work at the same company) and he was running late and still changed his shirt so we didn’t match. Psh. Boys.

  • Erin @ Naturally Addicted June 20, 2011, 8:24 am

Love the matching shirts… my boyfriend would never do that. He would have marched right back into his closet and changed!
I need to make this Mmm sauce I keep reading so much about!

  • Carey @ Positively Blonde June 20, 2011, 8:37 am

Haha that is so cute that you all wore the same shirt… great minds think alike 🙂

  • cj weaber June 20, 2011, 8:44 am

I think the matching shirts are cute!

What kind of sunflower butter do you use? My jar is almost out and the kind I got last time was soooo expensive!

  • Lesley June 20, 2011, 9:00 am

I know you are slowly going gluten free. This dessert is scrumptious.

  • Stephanie June 20, 2011, 10:13 am

Bahaha! Matching shirts would never fly with my husband. We’ve worn the same color before and he’s gone back in the bedroom to change…haha

  • Amber K June 20, 2011, 11:46 am

There have been too many times with both my husband and I have decided to wear the same shade of blue shirt and then khakis. Then both think, “eh, I’m not changing.” Yes, we are those dorks 🙂

  • Kelsie June 21, 2011, 12:25 am

Why is your mmm sauce so green? Mine turns our beige-y yellow. What do you use in yours? You are your husband are adorable :3
