What do you have when you put two long-distance BFFs and their husbands together for one whole week in the Dominican Republic?
The makings of a wonderful, much-needed vacation! My father-in-law is taking care of our house and dogs while we are gone, so I can’t wait to just RELAX. It’s going to be a sunny, sandy, and very Piña Colada kind of week.

The DR is fun! If you’re in Punta Cana, go to the little Thai restaurant in Bavaro Beach- ask the locals– it’s on property at a complex of private villas, but it’s public to eat there. A-MAZING CURRIES!

I just spent 4 months in the DR- I loved it! Make sure to drink some Presidente- it’s awesome, and dirt cheap.

Enjoy your time in the DR! I did my study abroad experience there (in Santo Domingo & in the mountains in the western part of the country) and cant WAIT to go back! Enjoy a cold Presidente beer or a rum & coke with Brugal rum. 🙂

I just got married (4-2-11) at Paradisus Palma Real just north of Punta Cana and I loved loved loved every single minute of it. What I would give to be back there right now. Have a great time!!
