Fatheads

in All Posts

I woke up HOURS before everyone else (figures) and hung out in the hotel lobby for a bit so everyone else could sleep.

I had a coffee and banana while I waited for the others to rise.

Once everyone was vertical, the girls and I decided to stick the Southside for lunch and headed over to Fatheads.

Fatheads is famous for two things:  an extensive beer menu and amazing fries.

I opted for a Dirty Hoe (raspberry framboise and a Hoegaarden).

And the other vegetarian of the group (Bethany) and I split lunch.  We started off with perogies, which is a typical Pittsburgh food.  The fried ravioli is filled with creamy potato.

And we split a huge chicken salad sans chicken.  :)  Here’s my portion:

Oh, and the table shared the famous garlic fries.  Now my breath smells like death.

Annnnnd we’re off!

Fatheads sounds like a place in my town called Hop Cat. Great beer selection and their fries (which look pretty similar) are called “crack fries”. Yep, they are actually that good!
