A Late Lunch

in All Posts

Wow, you guys have some great non-food blog suggestions (check out the comments for the post below).  I’ve looked at most of them and some are really great, so thanks for sharing!

Is it 2:00 already?  It’s like the work fairy has come to visit me! 🙂

Mid-morning snack (I was freakishly hungry and lunch seemed far off):

CIMG3618

Times two.  I love dates.  Nature’s candy!

And lunch was light, summer-y, and veggie-packed!
CIMG3623

The star of the meal was a cottage cheese-stuffed Flat Out Wrap with chopped celery.

CIMG3624

Mmm.

And veggies, since I feel like I’ve been lacking in that department lately.

CIMG3628

My first mid-afternoon snack was a crushed Kashi TLC bar with some vanilla Chobani yogurt.

Re: the whole crushing a granola bar and putting it in yogurt, I feel like I’ve discovered the solution to global warming or something.  It’s that momentous.  Because now I get to enjoy my crack — err yougrt — addiction without OD-ing on portions.  It’s so hard for me to self-portion granola, so this kind of forces me to.

CIMG3641

Delish!

Another Funny Website

Since we’re all sharing non-food blog websites today, here’s another great one:  F My Life.  Prepare to laugh uncontrollably!

hi! i’ve been reading for a couple months now, and i’m so impressed by your ability to roll up a wrap. what is your technique?!

  • Caitlin at Healthy Tipping Point April 7, 2009, 12:27 pm

anon hahah when you roll, you need to tuck the inside flap down really hard and roll very firmly. i find having a wet “glue” like mayo or mustard helps too.

  • katecooks April 7, 2009, 12:28 pm
