It’s official.  I am the world’s worst fisherwoman!  I think this is my 5th time fishing with our BFF Harry and I STILL haven’t caught anything.

Luckily, Harry caught this little guy, so it wasn’t a total waste (if there are any single ladies in the Orlando area, Harry is cute, fun, really nice, has a good job, listens to classic rock, and likes to fish.  And he’s single. Let me know!).

That’s a beautiful dock, huh?  I love it so much.  Harry’s parents’ friends’ own this $4 million home on a lake and let us creep into their backyard to go fishing whenever we want.  It’s SO beautiful.

We fished for about 2 hours.  Fishing is so fun, even when you don’t catch anything!  I just love being outside on the lake, and it’s so quiet and peaceful.  I think I threw like 100 casts….  and I tried every lure imaginable!

And I think I got stuck on 1 bijillion lillypads.

In my defense, I actually caught a large mouth bass, but I didn’t set him properly, and he got away!  I was so mad… he looked like a beauty!

By the time we got home, I was starrrrving.  I used my Thai leftovers to create a yummy and fast wrap.

CIMG2666

I rolled up my Garlic Pepper Chicken with some raw spinach in a Flat Out Honey Wheat Wrap.  Mmm!!

On the side, I had some melon.

Now, I’m going to do my 30 Day Shred session…  time to sweat with Jillian Michaels!

What’s your favorite outdoor activity?  If laying on the beach doesn’t qualify, I also like hiking, kayaking, and fishing.  And running, of course!  But NOT camping — ew!

    The lake is beautiful!

I guess my favorite outdoor activity is hiking. I’m a little too scared of water to spend much time in it.

  • Angel March 7, 2009, 10:38 am

That looks like so much fun!! It’s been so long since i’ve gone fishing but now it is on the to-do list for the near future!

If Harry wants to move to Boston, I am very single and he sounds like a great guy! Hehe…or I could move ot Orlando. That sounds like the better bet. 🙂

  • janeterin March 7, 2009, 1:10 pm

I say either walking or lying in a hammock.

You hate camping? I’m actually planning a “glamping” trip for my girlfriends this summer for my birthday – think champagne, gourmet S’mores (with Little Schoolboy cookies), gourmet camp food and yoga in the fresh air, etc!

    Thought you’d like this. 🙂 http://www.amazon.com/Love-Camping-Magnet-anne-taintor/dp/B000MX0NI4

  • bitesoflife March 7, 2009, 1:14 pm

Even though you didn’t catch any fish, it still sounds like you had a wonderful time!

I love swimming and just relaxing outdoors. We only get a a few short months of nice weather here!

  • Emily March 7, 2009, 1:16 pm

I’m not good at fishing, either. I think it’s bc I have no patience.

My favorite outdoor activity is probably running. But I like bike rides to the beach, too!

  • Brandi March 7, 2009, 1:21 pm

    love hiking! and camping.

I never catch anything when fishing, either.

  • Mica March 7, 2009, 1:46 pm

You may be the world’s worst fisherwoman, but you’re the best looking fisherwoman! No joke.

  • eatingRD March 7, 2009, 3:00 pm

That looks like a lot of fun! My dad used to always take me fishing in the mountains. I do like camping, but not longer than a week haha. I really like to bike and hike, anything in the good ol’ outdoors.

I’m not a fishing girl but I have a fear of water… so no swimming in lakes, fishing in lakes, boating in lakes, etc. I’m a big water chicken. I love to camp NEAR the water though and my kids and dogs and husband all love it. I like the idea of “Glamping” and may have to try that some day soon. Most of my girlfriends like camping and yoga, and gourmet s’mores and champagne… I think that a trip may be in order.

  • kristine March 7, 2009, 3:31 pm

i love to go camping every year. along with fishing and hiking. also snowboarding, surfing and just laying out on the beach :]

  • inmytummy March 7, 2009, 3:55 pm

I was going to suggest introducing him to Meghann too!

I like running, hiking, kayaking, white water rafting and snowboarding.

Unfortunately, we have a lack of places to snowboard here in GA.

  • Julie March 7, 2009, 4:49 pm

I’m not very “outdoors-y” but I especially hate camping!!

  • Derek March 7, 2009, 5:26 pm

Gosh, I picked a heck of a day to start reading your blog. Kirsten has the right idea though, haha. Don’t give up on fishing!
