Lazy Sunday

in All Posts

Wow…. I feel SO LAZY this morning!  All I’ve done of note is eat. 🙂

Breakfast:

CIMG2924

WW pancakes, melon, strawberry, and real maple syrup for dippin’.

CIMG2926

MMM!

And a few hours later…. leftover Cheesy Chicken Casserole.  I think this was better today than it was when I baked it!

CIMG2927

I have to say… I love entire meals (protein, carbs, veggie, and fats) in 1 dish!  Casseroles rule.

CIMG2929

Errand time… and a maybe Shred and a run later!   I’m trying to listen to my body, and my body is currently saying "I don’t want to exercise" so hopefully it will change its tune!

🙂

I hear you! I’ve been so snacky today and the weather here in GA sucks (nothing but rain and more rain)! I was headed out the door earlier to run and I decided to stay in and snack instead. 🙂

I FINALLY got a copy of the 30 day shred – I start tomorrow!

I totally agree – love one dish meals. I like to make up a whole pan of food and then have it for leftovers the next couple of days. Makes like so much easier! And already got my run in today – my body was eager for a little movement and I was happy to give it what it wanted! 🙂 Have a great Sunday!

    Those pancakes look so good.

My body said “don’t work out” to me for almost a week. I listened. Today I worked out again and I was sore, but it felt good. Sometimes you just have to listen to your body.

I ordered the 30 day shred and it is supposed to be here tomorrow! I can’t wait!

Your pancake breakfasts ALWAYS reign supreme!!

I’m all about one dish meals that provide all the essentials AND give you leftovers for a couple of lunches.

One of my favorites is from the Eat, Shrink and be Merry cookbook. Its basically Mac’n’cheese but there are tons of veggies in it too!

HAHA now that you say this I think my body may have been telling me the same thing this weekend. Truth be told, I think of Jillian and the shred and I already feel the hardship!
    Enjoy your Sunday!

EVERYTHING i’ve done today has somehow involved food! I love days like that 🙂

I am in the same boat! I have been snacking all day and really have no motivation to get off my butt and do anything physical. Hopefully we will both change our tunes by the end of the day. Enjoy your Sunday!

I LOVE lazy Sundays. However, they are not as lazy as I would like. I already went out for a run, did Shred, ran errands, and took my bike in for a tune-up. Now, it’s time to relax and do some paperwork!

great looking breakfast! perfect sunday meal.

i started the shread a couple days after you and have taken one day off. if your body feels like it needs it, make sure you take the day off, especially now that you just switched to level 2!

  • finkleberry March 15, 2009, 2:22 pm

In my opinion, Sundays = lazy! You’ve got to soak up the weekend for all it’s worth because it’s back to the grind in only a few hours!!

  • Amanda (Two Boos Who Eat) March 15, 2009, 5:21 pm

    HAPPY SUNDAY!!

  • Run Saraaah March 15, 2009, 7:35 pm

I love one-dish meals too…makes cleanup and leftovers so much easier!

  • Caitlin at Healthy Tipping Point March 16, 2009, 2:53 am

erin – i think the secret is to not overmix the batter and to put the frying pan on medium high heat. 🙂 also, i use a really thin layer of butter as my grease. maybe that has something to do with it?

  • Dori March 16, 2009, 6:03 am

Yummy looking pancakes as always! I made an amazing breakfast this weekend too, will post about it later!

  • Tina March 16, 2009, 1:54 pm

  • ALD March 17, 2009, 6:32 pm

    Caitlin,
I made your chicken/broc/rice casserole and it was delicious! I cooked my chicken with some hot sauce first – so good! Just call me Donna Reed – casseroles rock! Thanks for the recipe!
