Just Another Monday

in All Posts

Good morning!  I am pleased to report that Meghann’s sister Kelly is looking very good right now — the doctors said her helmet saved her life AND she doesn’t even have any broken bones.  It’s truly a miracle.

Honestly, I was sooo tired when I woke up.  I had a terrible tension headache, so doing the 30 Day Shred was out of the question.  Today is Day 6, and I haven’t missed a day yet, so I’m going to try to do it this evening after my run.

Speaking of runs, I’ll be posting my training plan for my upcoming 15.0 Mile Trail Race later today! Stay posted.

Breakfast was warm and comforting.

My oatmeal contained:

  • 1/2 cup oatmeal
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 sliced banana
  • Toppings:  a row of Nutty Coconut Homemade Granola, a row of unsweetened coconut, and a row of Grape Nuts.

Very good!

OK – I’m off to work.  I hope you have a fabulous start to your week (I just wrote "weekend" — how depressing is that?).

It’s good to hear that Kelly is doing well. Thank God she was wearing the helmet.

I am so glad she is doing well! My father was in an accident last year – motorcycle – but I know all too well the importance of wearing a helmet. I’m so sorry you guys missed Britney though! My company has box seats for when I’m on my honeymoon – if I were in town I would try to get you girls seats for being such a good friend!

Glad Kelly is doing well, thanks for the update.

I didn’t have any time on Saturday to do the Shred since I was running around with my mom, but I did it yesterday. It was really great, the time flew and I didn’t have a chance to hate any exercise because they switch to the next one so quickly! Glad I got the 2lb weights but might pick up a set of 3 as well in a week or so.

New problem – no idea how to hook up my DVD player at my boyfriends! That’s why I couldn’t do it this morning. MUST figure it out tonight!

  • livelovelaugheatlearn March 9, 2009, 6:37 am

That is great news about Kelly!
Your oats look very tasty this morning.
I was sick all last night and I think it’s because I ate some chocolate before bed and had a few pieces of fried chicken and fried tofu at work and I never eat friend foods! I feel awful today. You’ve inspired me this morning to start a crap free week as soon as my tummy is back to normal!

  • fodie818 March 9, 2009, 6:40 am

    hi caitlin!
i was wondering, when you did your “crap free week”, did you still use stevia? i know… really random! i am trying to cut out artificial sweeteners but need SOMETHING in my tea!

  • Caitlin at Healthy Tipping Point March 9, 2009, 6:49 am

fodie – well, for the three days i was actually drinking tea during CFW, i used stevia because its all natural and doesnt count as an artifical sweetener. so, enjoy!! 🙂

so glad to hear that she is okay, so scary. I worry about stuff like that biking here in Vegas because no one pays attention when they are driving, let alone pedestrians and bikers. I also want to bike the red rock loop, but there really isn’t a bike path and I’m afraid of something like that because it’s happened to so many unfortunately.
