Check out Meghann’s blog for a fun giveaway today!

This morning, I was feeling quite hangry.  I also felt very depressed because I totally thought it was Thursday and, alas, it is only Wednesday.

I snacked on an orange:

CIMG1902

Lunch was a semi-ridiculous mish-mash of leftovers I had in the fridge.

CIMG1905

I had 1/2 of the Mini Santa Fe Casseroles and 1/2 a sweet potato with about 1/2 cup of black beans.  Yum!

For dessert… apricots!

CIMG1904

Times two! πŸ™‚

  • Katy February 11, 2009, 11:42 am

    Caitlin — fun game!

    * When exercising, what three things do you usually think about?

    — My to-do list (I map it out and organize in my head), blog topics (hee hee) and how amazing it is that I am a triathlete when two years ago I couldn’t run a mile.

    * Do you sing out loud to your iPod when exercising?

    — Fo-shizzle. In fact, to make my playlist, a song has to be utterly singable.

    * Do you reuse socks instead of washing them everytime?

    — Ahhh, busted! I only have two good pair of running socks, and since they’re only on my feet for 90 minutes at a time, I sheepishly admit to Febreezing and re-wearing.

    * During the summer, would you rather exercise outside in a rainstorm or in 99 degree weather?

    — 99 degree weather. I hate running in the rain because it tickles my arms and back!

    * Have you ever fallen down while running?

    — Yes, a wicked wipeout this fall during a run with my dog. I didn’t see a gap in the sidewalk and went face first into the sidewalk. My dog was so cute … I’d let go of his leash but he just sat there whimpering until I got back up.

Interesting stats on runners! I’m a little surprised that only half listen to music for some reason!

    4. Rainstorm

    1. Everything I have to do, my daily agenda, food
    2. No, I actually prefer to run with no music so I can focus. But, when I do run with music I do not sing along… it would be scary.
    3. I think I have a few times, eventhough it is really gross.
    4. I hate running in extreme heat, it makes me want to die and I usually feel like I may faint. So, I would rather run in a rainstorm.
    5. Yes, I have fallen sooo many times. It hurts, its embarassing, and I keep doing it. Darn!

  • One Healthy Apple February 11, 2009, 2:28 pm

  • sarah February 11, 2009, 3:20 pm

When exercising, what three things do you usually think about?
    1. how late i’m going to be for work (sad, but true), whatever song is on my iPod, and my plans for the rest of the day

    2. no . . . but i sing in the car on the way home from the gym. does that count?

    3. no!! ewww. but i do wear lots of socks with holes.

    4. rainstorm unless there is thunder/lightning. if there are either of those things, i guess i’d pick 99.

    5. yep — bit it on the pavement multiple times. recently i scraped all 4 extremities. my favorite running pants have a hole in the knee. sidewalks = not my friend.

1- umm, food, blog, goals, nothing… 2-don’t have an iPod on runs, but i sing out loud (quietly) at spinning! 3- ew, i sweat, so no 4-since i wear orthotics, i’d have to say the 99deg weather 5- twice, only once i was kinda tipsy (not a great idea to run home!)

  • ksgoodeats February 11, 2009, 3:39 pm

  • tryingforatri February 11, 2009, 3:41 pm

I wish it was Thursday! Why is this week going by so slow?

    Fun questions!
    1. Food, school, work
    2. No, I never listen to the lyrics in songs, so I don’t know the words to anything
    3. I do wear them after a run! Otherwise I’d have to own like 40 pairs of socks.
    4. Rain storm, I don’t handle heat well.
    5. Not yet, but you may have just jinxed me!

  • Susan February 11, 2009, 3:47 pm

    1. How many miles I have left, what I have to do the rest of the day, what’s for dinner!
    2. I don’t run with music, but I sometimes have conversations in my head, complete with facial expressions and hand gestures. I usually hope no one is watching!
    3. Never…I have wayyyy too much socks to do that!
    4. 99 degrees…if I have to choose!
    5. Yes! Once during my first couple weeks of cross country in high school (actually, it was twice during the same run, and my knee was super bloody…and I still didn’t know where the nurse’s office was). And then once when a car ran me off the road so I had to jump up on some ice and therefore landed on my butt.

  • Mica February 11, 2009, 4:10 pm

Ooh, great questions! Let’s see if I have great answers:

    1. I am not really sure. Sometimes, I repeat Arabic/Latin conjugations in my head. Other times, I think about what I want to buy.
    2. I don’t sing out loud because it takes too much energy, but I do mouth the words.
    3. I reuse socks…a lot. I’m gross.
    4. I’d prefer running in a rain storm. It keeps you nice and cool!
    5. Nope! Knock on wood!

    1. Life/ Faith, Food, Blog
    2. Nope
    3. Ew no!
    4. Rainstorm!! (If you pick 99 degrees you should come run in Florida in the summer when it’s 99 degrees PLUS humidity. You’d choose a rainstorm).
    5. YES! It was so embarrassing, especially because it was the point in that path where the most cars drive by!

  • luckytastebuds February 11, 2009, 4:37 pm
