Monday Chatter

My weekend ended like this (remember the two-day gardening spree?). It started to rain just as we were finishing the backyard, and we both ended up covered in mud.

gardening while pregnant

I don’t think two people have ever been so happy to collapse on a couch before (post-shower, obviously).  Now, we just give the backyard a week or so and pray that little grass seeds sprout up.  Here’s to hoping all the mud was worth it.

Rise and shine.  Just a bit sore from yesterday.

Toast, sunflower butter, banana, blueberries, coconut.

My big work endeavor of the day is radio for the Healthy Tipping Point book.  I did eight interviews last Monday, nine on Friday, and I’m up for another nine today.

Good thing I really like to talk. Smile  Especially when I can do it in my pajamas.

Oh, hey – it’s our man cave!  Remember our big debate over Where Should the TV Go?  In our new house, we had the option of making one room a dedicated ‘TV room’ instead of putting the TV in the main living area downstairs.  We really like the TV separation – we watch less, and it seems more ‘special’ when our shows are on.

The Hus decorated the man cave (hence, the name).  One very cool thing he did was buy black and white pictures of his favorite sports teams.  He’s got prints from England winning the 1966 World Cup, Manchester United winning their first European Cup in 1968, and University of Miami playing Florida in their first championship winning season in 1983.  Pretty neat.

The man cave also makes a good interview zone.  I don’t know about you, but my dogs love to bark whenever I’m on a really important call… and then they are perfect angels when I’m quietly working by myself.   Gotta lock myself away from their big old mouths.

Happy Monday!  How was your weekend?

What kind of coconut is that? It has looked so delicious to me in your last few photos…..

Not sure – I tossed the bag. I think it’s just the regular baking kind you get at the grocery store. The sweetened kind.

I think I’m more amused by your belly sticking out of the bottom of your shirt than by the mud…

I don’t have dogs, but I do have kids, and they do the exact same thing to me. Well, except they don’t bark. :) But they always think of something extremely important to ask me just as soon as I get on the phone!

P.S. You are such an adorable pregnant lady!

Wow, that is a LOT of interviews! I hope they all go well today. My weekend was good – went to visit my mum for mothers day, but as always after a weekend away, I was happy to come back to my own house. Have a great day Caitlin!

Have fun relaxing on the couch and doing interviews! Haha definitely less physical exertion than all that yard work!

I had a wonderful weekend with my little family. The weather here in Seattle has been absolutely amazing, so we spent every possible moment outside enjoying it!

So have people been telling you you’re “carrying high”?

Great weekend, though it went by far too quickly. Love when the weather is nice! LOVE the photo of you post-mud. Too funny.

LOL. I look exactly like that after a day of working in the garden. Sans pregnant belly. Though after the garden work it migt turn into a beer belly. ;)

Weekend consisted of Hungarian Festival, buying a couch (eeep!), Holistic Fair and cooking a meal for Mama con mi hermanas.

Congrats again on the book and interviews :) That’s such a big accomplishment! As for me, I graduated from college this weekend, which at one point I almost thought I wouldn’t be able to do since I had to take a year off for medical leave, but I did it and now I’m just waiting for what’s next

Love the man cave. The pics are such a good idea!! We’re looking at houses, and I totally want a different space to stash the tv. We don’t even get any channels, but I still think we watch too much Hulu and whatnot.

I got to hang out with another dachsund this weekend :) We think she might actually be mixed with Corgi, because she has a Corgi-like body and a dachsund head. So cute :)

The rain pattern on your shirt (over the bump) cracks me up! Ha! Good for you for getting so much yardwork done this late in pregnancy. :)

Hope your united supporting husband is coping well after yesterdays results. I’m not really into football but it was a very exciting final few minutes.

Such a great idea to have the TV in a separate room! Is that a Sactional? I’ve been eyeing one of those for awhile now. Your couch looks super comfy!! Love your bump :) Weekend was good, got in 75 miles for another century coming up this weekend!
