On The Road… Again

in All Posts

One more car trip.  I am TOTALLY over this.  Trying to keep a smile on my face, though!

Maggie is over it, too.

We’re 20 miles outside of Charlotte, and I’m really looking forward to being home.  I’ve got grand plans to work, run, do No More Trouble Zones, write a freelance article, and lay on my new couch and watch television.  Doesn’t that sound grand?

One more healthy packed lunch for y’all!

IMG_8139

A raw veggie salad mess of carrots, celery, tomatoes, and Sabra garlic hummus.  Loved the garlic hummus, but it stunk up the car!

Plus, sweet potato chips:

And blackberries and strawberries:

We’re 15 miles outside of Charlotte so I’m going to close the laptop (and hit publish when we get home!).  I gotta help the Husband navigate!  We’re still not very familiar with our new city and tend to get lost.  If I have to drive one extra block in this car, I will surely kill myself!

Since June 27, we’ve driven 2,140 miles in car trips – AHHH!

  • anonymous loyal reader July 5, 2010, 8:02 pm

Saw you tweeted about finding out about Trader Joes; very vegetarian/vegan friendly! Their soy sausage, soy chorizo, fruit leather, pretzels with peanut butter, flax peanut butter, vegan muffins, dark chocolate covered pretzel bark, and soy corn dogs are AMAZING!!! My meat loving sister even loves the soy corn dogs. They also sell Tofu Cuties, soy ice cream, and a variety of other soy goodies all for a very reasonable price. Heck, they even sell Puffins for a much lower price then grocery stores in my area(central NC).

    • caitlin July 5, 2010, 9:56 pm

      thanks for being loyal! 🙂

AHHH i loved traders joe so much you do NOT understand!

  • Paige @Running Around Normal July 5, 2010, 8:13 pm

  • Kelly July 5, 2010, 9:20 pm

  • Amber K @ sparkpeople July 5, 2010, 10:55 pm

I think the trip the beach from here is about the longest I can handle. And that’s barely two hours! I just hate being stuck in a car! Hope you’re having fun, whatever you’re getting to do right now.
