Painted Baskets DIY

It looks like I can continue wogging for at least a little bit longer!

Side note… Wogging = Waddling jogging.  Because that’s more and more what running looks like these days.  I am no longer graceful in anything that I do, but ESPECIALLY not running.  I quit pregnant running with Henry weeks and weeks ago compared to this pregnancy, so I don’t care WHAT I look like – I’m SOOOOO pumped to be running.

I had a bad run last Friday that left me completely wiped out, so when I did 2.3 miles yesterday and felt good afterwards, I was so pleased!  And here I thought Friday was going to be the end for me.  Guess I should probably go buy bigger gear (nothing else I have fits me anymore – especially not my sized-up running shorts and sports bras!).

Wooo to the the hooo!  I’ve still got the wog. {{Happy Awkward Dance!!}}

In other news, I have a piece of popcorn stuck in my gum, and it is super painful.  Random, but I had to say it.  It’s like torture.

Look – I did something crafty!

I got this idea from an old Young House Love post <— click for all the How To Do details.  It was really easy and fun to do, and now I have pretty, customized toy baskets for Henry’s big kid room.

Honestly, the coolest part was that this is a craft project you can do while sitting on the couch and half-watching TV.  The entire process took 5 nights in front of the TV.  It was very relaxing… I didn’t worry too much about making my stripes perfect or anything.  But it still came out nice!

I spy giraffe legs in the background…

I had a popcorn kernel stuck in my gums for over a week once. True story.

What did you dooooooo. I don’t even know WHERE it’s stuck = I can just sense it.

Have you tried using dental floss to dislodge the popcorn hull? I’ve found this works wonders.

Popcorn in your teeth is the worst! I hope it comes out soon!

The baskets came out so cute! I definitely don’t have a crafty hand, but am trying for our baby’s nursery wall art. We shall see how it turns out. I am super excited!
Henry’s big boy room is sure looking good.
That’s awesome that you are still wogging. I can still jog a little as long as I have close access to a bathroom (like at the gym, in body attack, etc). My bladder is slowly getting smaller and for some reason the little one loves to sit right on it during my morning workouts! 🙂

I would not have guessed those were hand painted. Good work!

Is that giraffe hand painted? Where did you get him? I love that he looks like a real giraffe and not some cracked out baby cartoon one.

Do you have a water pik you can use? I use ours whenever I get something stuck and the water flushes it right out! And as a bonus, it feels like a gum massage!

Cute baskets!! Heads up though, “wog” is a wee bit of a racial slur in England and Australia. Not sure how many international readers you’ve got (and I recognize that’s not how you meant it!), but after 6 years of living in London, I’m aware of the meaning 🙂 So glad you’re able to keep active! Waddle on, friend.

Oh noooooooooooooooooooo! LOL No more wogging for me, I guess.

Can’t wait to see the finished room!

And I HATE popcorn stuck up in your gums. I always seem to make it worse by constantly picking!

ugh, the popcorn in the teeth sucks…I once had a hygienist pull one out and I couldn’t even remember the last time I had eaten popcorn…ewww. They can sometimes be dislodged with floss or one of those pokey flossing sticks but the best bet is to pop into the dentist and they can do it no time flat…probably wouldn’t even charge you if you have a nice dentist.

Hi! I’m 33 weeks pregnant and just wanted to let you know there are going to be terrible running days! I mean you have bad running days when you aren’t pregnant so they have to be expected but the ones while pregnant are REALLY bad. Don’t give up! Also at 22-ish weeks I had to start wearing a belly support belt (thefitnessista wrote about it). I noticed my abs were hurting when I was running and with the belt they don’t hurt at all now. Good luck!

      I think I need a support belt!!!
