Another day, another pile of work to be tackled!

It’s funny where life takes you – I really never imagined myself moonlighting as a secretary at an acupuncture clinic while writing a book.  But it works for us. 

 

Plus, he looks cute in a lab coat.

Lunch was eaten at the desk; we have a very busy day today, indeed.  I brought us both whole wheat wraps with pinto beans, Mmm Sauce, sprouts, and spinach:

Then I went and got a smoothie.  You know those ‘buy-12-get-1-free’ cards that some places give out? Yeah.  I’m a total sucker for that.  Once my card starts to fill up, I want to go back more and more, just for stamps.  Peanut butter and banana:

    Never heard of the Cats Who Sit Like Humans site.

    I wonder if there is one for dogs. My dog sits like a human all the time. People are always like “Why is she sitting like that??”

    I think she likes to show off her nipples.

    I could write a book on procrastination…although I guess that would take me a while!

    I hear ya on strange jobs. I went to culinary school and while I do get to do what I love, I also moonlight as an office manager for an illustrator (my husband). I guess you do what ya gotta do for the ones you love!

    I know the men in that photo….. They won most outrageous twins at the twin convention in Ohio a long time ago (one of them has since passed away)

    Caitlin I’ve been wanting to ask you for some time now: Do you have any tips for handling working with your husband and being together for so much time each day? I’m not saying that it has to be hard to handle, but just if there are any things you do in order not to get tired of each other?
    The smoothie sounds yummy. You should try PB, banana and spinach – amazing!

      Hahah oh, but it can be hard to handle 🙂 I think the biggest thing for any relationship is that you really have to appreciate each other. I think it’s very easy to assume that YOU are doing more work and YOU are working harder and feel like the other person does not acknowledge your efforts. I literally try to go out of my way and say, “I appreciate that you did X, Y, and Z” even if I don’t feel like he’s acknowledging my work in that moment. Because he will eventually. Keeping score is BAD BAD BAD for relationships.

    My aunt has one of those cats. He’s 17 years old and has always sat like that. And he’s pretty much the weirdest cat ever.

    Oh my goodness, I have a cat that sits like a human! His name is Watson and he is a little on the crazy side 🙂 He will actually fall asleep sitting like that! It is so hilarious!

    Bad portraits are my favorite. My photo teacher always shows a set to her first level students when they start their portrait project. For some reason, holding a cat and having crazy backgrounds was a hit for a while.
    Life is crazy, though.

    lmnho..I love looking at funny photos. I have an app on my Droid that has TONS of them. I’ll waste time before bed making myself laugh for a solid 30 minutes before drifting off.

    And I saw your comment about how keeping score is bad for relationships and I have to completely agree with that! Showing people you appreciate them is important in any relationship I think.
