Drinks and Bowl Cuts

in All Posts

Last night, I ended up staying up waaaay too late (it was worth it, though), drinking lots of wine and eating lots of chocolate with Nicole, Isaac, and the Husband.

We didn’t do anything special, just sat around our living room and debated spirituality and how babies breathe in the womb.  Weird.

Oh, and Isaac cut the Husband’s hair.  It looked rough for a little bit but ended up being fabulous.  Normally, the Husband cuts his own hair, but I think hair cuts always look better if someone else does it (besides me – I suck at haircuts).

Breakfast:

Sunny-side eggs, spinach, tomatoes, and a slice of toasty bread… roasted potatoes and a plum.  A mix of flavors – very delicious indeed.

And then I ran 3.0 miles.  So hot and sweaty!  I need to stop running in the middle of the day.

Oh, and we’re going to Healthy Ashley’s wedding tonight – I’m so excited!  I wearing a borrowed dress and still need to go buy a tangible gift (I always give cash but like to give a small token gift to wrap, too).  I better get a move on!

My boyfriend and I tried taking care of his own hair ~3 years ago. We spent hours on it and the result was a shaved head. Never again!

That breakfast is making me hungry!

My boyfriend likes to cut his own hair but let’s me do the hard details on the back. The one time he let me cut his WHOLE head, I took a GIANT chunk of hair out above his ear. I was promptly fired from haircutting service. 🙂

You give cash? That’s instant invite to my wedding! Kidding 🙂

I really need to invest in some clippers for my Fiance, which will be the first true test of our marriage.

Your husband must be talented if he can cut his own hair!! I would never attempt something like that.

    Have fun at the wedding!

I cut all three of my boys hair. Two faux hawks and a longer cut. I hate doing it, but it is way cheaper! Have fun tonight!

Isn’t it funny how guys cut their hair…they have no fear. Mine even let me shave his face once and I was PETRIFIED, couldn’t handle it, lol! 😛 xyx

  • Jessica June 25, 2011, 2:20 pm

Love it! I don’t know if you have seen it… but my husband was in a JACK IN THE BOX Commercial with an actual BOWL cut. He was the cute intern and all the actors had to do real bowl cuts. It was awesome, hard to take him seriously though. 🙂
    Have fun at the wedding.

  • Ashley @ the fit academic June 25, 2011, 3:00 pm

What a FABULOUS idea to do cash + a small gift! I need to steal this for all the weddings I go to from now on!!! Genius! : )

  • Jackie @ That Deep Breath June 25, 2011, 3:23 pm

I don’t think anyone would trust me to cut their hair…I wouldn’t either!!

  • Mary @ Bites and Bliss June 25, 2011, 4:00 pm

  • Erica June 25, 2011, 4:00 pm

  • Catherine@happinessafterheartache June 25, 2011, 10:06 pm

My husband would never cut his own hair or let anyone other than a person at a salon/barber. That being said, he did let me cut our son’s hair – just a little – to get rid of the mullett he was accidently growing. Next time, he goes to the salon with Daddy.

  • Jessica @ The Process of Healing June 25, 2011, 10:24 pm

    Mmm.. wine and chocolate!
My fiance asks me to cut his hair and I HATE it!! I don’t want to be responsible for someone else’s hair!

  • Amber K June 26, 2011, 11:14 am

I used to cut my husband’s hair, but my expertise stops once you get fancier than shaving the entire thing to one length. So he’s been going to great clips instead, lol.

LOL – I love the conversations that you had! Sounds like my group of friends 🙂
