Ginger Cats 4 Life.

IMG_4948

Today was a day filled with speaking engagement preparations, book-proposal-preparations-slash-pounding-my-forehead-against-coffee-table, and secretary moonlighting at the clinic.  You know. The usual.

And dinner was literally [healthy] fast food.  The “nothing in my fridge sounds good” trend from lunch definitely continued into dinner.

IMG_4954

I made myself and the Husband a burrito and grabbed us each a pear to sustain us through an evening appointment.

IMG_4951

In the mix:  pinto refried beans, corn salsa, and spinach.

IMG_4955

And instead of actually being productive while I sat behind the secretary’s desk, I read baby blogs and cried hysterically at heart-tugging birth stories.

Then I came home and ate cereal.

Side note: I do not know why my forehead appears to be orange.  Perhaps I am turning into a Ginger Cat.

I’m in a weird mood tonight!

Awww what baby blogs do you read?

  • Sandy November 1, 2010, 9:13 pm

You are SOOO getting preggos soon. I highly recommend it. You will never be “ready” to have kids–you just do it. I had mine first my second year of law school a week after exams.

  • chelsey @ clean eating chelsey November 1, 2010, 9:13 pm

  • hemp jogger November 1, 2010, 9:17 pm

i LOVE those ‘weird mood’ nights/days. i have no clue why, but sometimes its nice to feel like someone else is in your body or head and feel all loopy doopy. i really like those days, too, where you finish up, and think, ‘did today happen?’ …like the head is unattached.

  • Hope November 1, 2010, 9:18 pm

OMG your shoes are soooo super cute!!
Baby blogs? I totally do that too! Or I google baby names…even though we have no kids and will not have kids for another year or so!

  • hippierunner November 1, 2010, 9:18 pm

Ack, how dare you be so coy! Baby blogs??? Cereal??? Lol.

  • Allie (Live Laugh Eat) November 1, 2010, 9:20 pm

    You’re pregnant!

  • Camille November 1, 2010, 9:25 pm

Wait, why is everyone saying you are pregnant!? Are you pregnant!?
    I’m so confused/excited!

  • Karen @ Not Just Celery November 1, 2010, 9:25 pm

I love all things ginger so I will have to try those ginger cats next time I go to TJ’s. I wish I had a better one to go to – the one in Union Square in NYC literally has a line that wraps around the entire store no matter what time of day you go. Maybe next time I go back to CT I’ll stop and pick some up 🙂

PS love your shoes in the cereal pic!

  • Julie November 1, 2010, 9:27 pm

To all above, preggo is not likely — she just ran a (hard) marathon!

    • Caitlin November 2, 2010, 9:52 am

      Ding ding – you win!!!

  • Jamie @ Food in Real Life November 1, 2010, 9:29 pm

Hope you’re not getting sick! Take some extra vitamin C! When no food sounds good, I usually think I’m getting sick. Today, everything sounds good to me. I’ve been starving all day!

  • tina November 1, 2010, 9:29 pm

    your dinner looks yum!

  • Anne @thefitbridesmaid November 1, 2010, 9:30 pm

  • erin fugal November 1, 2010, 9:37 pm

hahahah, you baby blog stalker. that’s funny, totally something i’ve done and no longer do because i have my own babies. i hear the pitter patter of little feet in your future 😉

    • Clare November 2, 2010, 7:22 am

TO-tally. I remember watching endless episodes of “the baby story” when I was pre-baby with our first. Now, strangely, three babies-later I have no interest whatsoever 😉

      • Caitlin November 2, 2010, 9:52 am

kind of like when i buy a house, i will not want to watch House Hunters anymore?

  • holly @ couchpotatoathlete November 1, 2010, 9:40 pm

Baby blogs??? I’d be bawling just reading them. Babies are the best 🙂

    Enjoy your night!

  • Gabriela @ Une Vie Saine November 1, 2010, 10:01 pm

Hahaha I love this post- we’re all weird sometimes (okay, most of the time in my case). And I was reading your tweets and procrastinating right along with you with birth stories. My biological clock needs to stop telling me I’m old enough to have children.

  • Maggie November 1, 2010, 10:34 pm

    I love your leopard shoes!

  • Mary @ Bites and Bliss November 1, 2010, 10:42 pm

Mmmm cereal 🙂 I’ve been craving a bowl all day but am out of milk. Yogurt’s been doing a good job, but it just isn’t the same! haha

  • Balanced Healthy Life November 1, 2010, 10:51 pm

  • Katy (The Singing Runner) November 1, 2010, 11:25 pm

I love those Ginger Cat Cookies! Where do you buy them? They are too cute! 🙂

  • Annie November 2, 2010, 12:16 am

Oh my goodness! Reading the questions ^^ about a possible future baby (yes, no, yes no!?) just makes me happy. You’ll make a wonderful mommy some day.

And I get so emotional reading about little ones or watching any old TLC show. Seriously. Don’t even get me started about walking past baby clothing in stores. 🙂

    Last, your outfit is beautiful!

  • Amber from Girl with the Red Hair November 2, 2010, 12:18 am

Haha I love your sense of humour 😉

  • Crystal November 2, 2010, 1:42 am

I love birth stories! I stalk the birth stories forum on MDC all the time. Now I just need to get around to writing mine.

  • maya @ finding balance in tokyo November 2, 2010, 3:34 am

I’ve also been having the ‘nothing sounds good’ problem with my fridge lately. Maybe it’s a seasonal thing?

  • Tabitha (From Single to Married) November 2, 2010, 7:35 am

I cry at baby blogs too. Btw – is there something you want to tell us? (perhaps I missed it somehow?) 🙂

  • Sarena (The Non Dairy Queen) November 2, 2010, 8:03 am

It may be the pumpkin…ha, ha…my palms and the bottoms of my feet turn orange during the pumpkin season, but I don’t care…I just love it that much!

  • Verna November 2, 2010, 8:13 am

I loved reading birth stories before my son was born! Haha!

  • Nikki M. November 2, 2010, 8:35 am

I know exactly what you mean! I’ll watch a Baby Story and cry during the delivery EVERY time! It’s almost embarrassing now 🙂

  • Paige (Running Around Normal) November 2, 2010, 8:52 am

That’s pretty good for fast food! Love that your meals are on the go, but can still be healthy and veg:)

  • Rachel @ EatMoreMeatLess November 2, 2010, 9:03 am

Burrito sounds great! I need to buy some refried beans 🙂

  • eml November 2, 2010, 9:05 am

Baby blogs? Would you like one in the future?!

Good luck with the book proposal situations – sounds intriguing!

I just found out that I’m pregnant yesterday! I can’t stop reading baby blogs. I’m dying to tell people but my hubby and I decided to wait until Christmas time when I start my 2nd trimester…but cyber people, that’s ok. I just won’t link back to my blog. 🙂
