Off to Pennsylvania!

Morning!  I’m off to Pennsylvania this morning for a big Operation Beautiful presentation in Williamsport.

I am actually flying into Harrisburg and then driving about 80 miles north to Williamsport.  The event is open to the public, so if you’re in the area, check out the details here.

 

I had a bowl of Grape Nuts, strawberries, and almond milk for breakfast:

And I bought a bottle of OJ once I got to the airport:

By the way, I’m blogging from the Netbook and it’s GREAT!  I can tell I wouldn’t want to save a lot of big picture files on it, but its perfect for travel.  It is super small (2.5 pounds) and fits into one of my small purses!  So much better than my huge, bulky laptop.  Look how much smaller it is in comparison to my carry-on luggage:

Plans for today:

 

  • Arrive in Harrisburg
  • Rent car and drive to Williamsport
  • Make use of hotel gym
  • Blog lunch!
  • Take a nap
  • Do my presentation this evening

 

I love flying Air Tran because they have free in-flight Internet.  I’ll seeya on Twitter from the friendly skies!

    I’ve heard that netbooks aren’t great for word processing, but they sound like they’d be so much more convenient for taking notes in a college lecture. What do you think?

      They are just tiny so it’s harder to type however I wouldve loved this in college!

    I’ve never been on a plane with free in-flight internet — somehow I get stuck on the 17-hour flights with just an overhead movie screen. :/

    If you want a nice salad/fruit bar – go to Wegman’s, especially if you’re staying at the Hampton or Holiday Inn it’s right there! 🙂 Wegman’s also has a really nice natural/organic section in their stores!

      you’re totally not the only one! (when I was younger, my dad used to eat them and my mean older siblings told me they were disgusting like cat litter so I was always afraid until the age I learned Santa wasn’t real and everything big brothers and sisters tell you isn’t true)

    Safe travels! Do you prefer flying or driving?
    Safe workouts in the hotel gym! Using other equipment always tricks me out for the first time I use it.

    I just flew to and from Orlando from work on AirTran – it was pretty decent (and much cheaper than other airlines). Funny thing – when we were landing in Orlando I was looking at all the back roads around the airport wondering if they were the ones you bike on!

    Sorry you had to drive so far — Williamsport is basically in the middle of nowhere! LOL The only other airport in the area is State College (60 miles from Williamsport) and it’s tiny and expensive. 🙁
    I wish I’d have known about this earlier — I’d have come up for it! But I’m actually SOUTH of Harrisburg…so it would be quite a drive for me after a day of work! 🙂

    Have a great trip! I went to school at Bucknell University in Lewisburg PA (about 30 mins from Williamsport). We used to go to Williamsport for Wegman’s and Starbucks 🙂

    Oh wow–I would totally drive up and see your presentation, but I have a night class that I cannot miss!

    Williamsport is in the middle of nowwhere (lol) but 2 of my roommates boyfriends go there!

    I also 2nd the advice about going to Wegmans–love it!

    I just bought a Netbook over the weekend, and I adore it! They’re SO portable and very quick. I have to say, I think I currently like it more than my laptop. (And I’m a Mac girl, so that’s saying a lot 🙂 ).
