We’re in the airport and getting ready to leave!   Bloggers in action:

We’re all lined up on the floor with our laptops.  :)  Love it.

Our flight is a little delayed, which is fine by me because I’d rather be on the ground waiting than circling in the air!

This morning and afternoon was crazy.  I was a whirlwind trying to get stuff done!  I actually decided last minute that I hated the White House Black Market dress, so I booked it to Dillard’s and bought a new cocktail dress!  I love it!

I ate granola, yogurt, and blueberries while I frantically packed:

And at the airport, I bought a hummus and veggie sammie:

Operation Beautiful and Dress for Success  Greater Orlando

I’m teaming up with Dress for Success  Greater Orlando for a charity fundraiser!  As part of this fundraiser, a portion of the proceeds from sales of the official Operation Beautiful necklace will go to Dress for Success Greater Orlando.

The fundraiser drive will take place next week (although you can purchase the necklace now if you want!), but we wanted to tell you a bit about Dress for Success Greater Orlando now!

Dress for Success Greater Orlando solves the catch-22 that confronts disadvantaged women trying to enter the workforce: without a job, how can you afford a suit?  But without a suit, how can you get a job?   Dress for Success is well-known for providing suits to disadvantaged women returning to or entering the workforce. Each Dress for Success Greater Orlando client receives one suit when she has a job interview and additional apparel—up to a week’s worth of clothing—when she becomes employed.

Dress for Success Greater Orlando is set up like a boutique in order to help the women feel beautiful and special as they "shop" for their charity suit!

The women who are referred to Dress for Success Greater Orlando are often facing tough financial situations because of various situations, whether it be domestic violence, homelessness, or illness.  These women cannot purchase their own professional clothes, which makes it difficult to get a job.  Not other does Dress for Success Greater Orlando give them a suit, but the women also receive shoes….

Purses….

And jewelry to make them feel confident and beautiful during their job search!

CIMG8438

Courtney, who runs Dress for Success Greater Orlando, positively loves her job!  She says the best part is watching women undergo a transformation as they try on the new clothes.  "You can see a change in their demeanor," Courtney says. "They truly feel beautiful with their new suit on!"

 CIMG8444

Dress for Success Greater Orlando is a HUGE supporter of Operation Beautiful.  Positive notes are located throughout the boutique!

Dress for Success Greater Orlando is a truly worthwhile organization.  It helps women feel empowered, confident, and beautiful.  Dress for Success Greater Orlando not only provides women in need with professional clothing, but the organization also provides a support network, helping women prepare resumes, ace interviews, and learn about workplace conduct.

To support Dress for Success Greater Orlando, purchase the absolutely beautiful Operation Beautiful necklace HERE!  It makes a wonderful gift, too!
