Call for Interviews!

in All Posts

Exciting news:  this week will be a short week for me!  As I am under a LOT of stress lately, I decided to ask my boss for some unpaid time off (I don’t have any vacation time accrued).  As long as I get my work done, I can take off Thursday, Friday, and Monday — how incredible is that?  Trust me, I need the break!

On that happy note, I woke up with a wonderful breakfast:

CIMG7367

I made whole wheat waffles and topped them with blueberries, flax, coconut, and vanilla Oikos Greek Yogurt.

CIMG7370

This breakfast was MIND BLOWING.  So delicious!

I also did some strength moves:

  • 30 push-ups
  • 50 bicycle crunches
  • 10 10-second wall squats

I’m proud to report that my knees do not hurt at all today!  I really thought Sunday’s race would’ve put me over the edge, but I feel fine.  My quad muscles are a little sore — that’s it! Woooo hoooo.

Operation Beautiful and Call for Interviews!

Check out the Monday notes, including the conclusion of  "Where in the USA is Monica?".  Monica from Run, Eat, Repeat posted more than 200 notes as she traveled across the country!  How cool is that?

If you have participated in Operation Beautiful and it has had a profound impact on your outlook, I would love to hear from you.  Operation Beautiful is beginning to spread farther than I could’ve ever imagined, and I need to speak to a few women with special experiences.  If you have a great Operation Beautiful story to tell, please e-mail me at seebriderun@gmail.com!  Thank you in advance!

Wow – that's great! I hope you enjoy the time off.

Having my own business allows me to build in time off which is so important for mental health.

Nice job scoring some time off. Above the minimal level to maintain some quality of life, I'd always choose time over money!

forgot to ask, is the pain after certain foods? That's no fun 🙁 I would get that checked out if it's not getting better to be safe 🙂

Those waffles look amazing!! I need a waffle iron. I made gross pancakes this morning from a Fiber One mix that my boyfriend's mom gave him. That's the last time I make them from a mix that's not organic, or from scratch!
