My grandpa’s birthday party was fun!
My father’s side of the family was all there, and a few of my grandpa’s friends came for the party.
My aunts are great cooks, and I must admit I have been looking forward this a lovely buffet all week! I snacked on pita chips and hummus while they worked in the kitchen:
And I offered to lick the mixer blades free of the cake icing, too! :)
After last night’s indulgences, I decided that I would either eat dessert or drink wine at the party, but not both. Obviously, I chose dessert!
My aunties set up an awesome buffet spread:
All the flowers were fresh! It added a nice touch.
Here’s my plate:
I had a veggie burger with cheese, pickles, tomatoes, and lettuce; blue chips; baked beans; a coconut macaroon, and coleslaw.
The coleslaw was great — it was mayo-free!
And a cookie:
The Husband and I split cake and ice cream. I’m glad he wanted to split it, or I would’ve easily housed this whole thing on my own (and then had a massive tummy ache).
It was nice to see my family! I really love them all and its fun to get together for special occasions.
And I got to hang out with my cousins’ doggie.
Her name is Precious and I love her so much! I just want to steal her.
I bribed her with a potato chip for that cute picture!
