I pretty much put every fruit I could think of into the Excalibur Dehydrator this afternoon.  Below are strawberries, apples, pineapples, and plums.

And here are kiwi slices and bananas.  Yum!

It takes hours for stuff to dehydrate, so I’ll check on everything in the morning.

In other news (man, I’ve been getting some FUN packages lately!), the lovely Ashley heard about my Bad Habit Smackdown Challenge and sent me this:

Inspired by Heather, I’m trying to break one of my worst bad habits this month — poor dental care!  I’m proud to say that I’ve flossed two times a day EVERYDAY since instituting the challenge on April 14! And Ashley‘s present will make it that much more fun!  🙂

Dinner was GREAT!

I made a variation on my Perfect Baked Tofu and added roasted whole cashews.  The sweetness of the maple syrup and the cashews complemented each other so well.

On the side, I had brown rice with steamed veggies.

Plus, watermelon for dessert.

I’m off to spend time with the Hubs! Goodnight and HAPPY FRIDAY!

Just curious, does the food dehydrator tell you in the booklet how much energy it consumes? Ive always wondered how much energy they save.

  • Kristi @ Sweet Cheeks April 24, 2009, 7:50 pm

have a good time with the husband!

  • thresholdofgreatness April 24, 2009, 8:33 pm

I hope the fruit turns out well! I stole my sister’s dehydrator (not a fancy Excalibur model though!), and it makes the best apple slices!

Yay for packages! I get excited every time I receive one. 🙂

I just got honey today! I’ve actually never bought it as we never had it in the house growing up, but my fiance picked some up for sandwiches. Now I’ll have to try the tofu!

  • Melissa @ For the Love of Health April 24, 2009, 9:14 pm
