Twilight

in All Posts, Twilight Obsession

Sorry for the late post, I was watching TWILIGHT on DVD! AHHH!! Sooooo good to see the movie again. 🙂 Now, let’s see how  many times I watch it this weekend.

My workout this evening was great.  I ran 5.0  miles on the treadmill, which is highly unusually for me — it’s a miracle if I squeak out 4.0 on the bore-mill.   But I was determined to get through my required mileage for the day!

I ran the first 4.0 miles at 6.5 mph and then switched to 7.5 mph (which is an 8-minute mile) for miles 4.0 to 4.8, and then I totally gutted out!  Maintaining that speed is really hard for me, so I ended up jogging the last 0.2 mile.

  • Duration:  46 minutes or so (5.0 miles)
  • Calories Burned: 400 calories

Woo hooo! I did skip Level 3 of the 30 Day Shred.  I didn’t slack out of laziness though — my arms and abs were totally sore!  I do the 30 Day Shred multiple days in a row as long as my muscles don’t hurt.   But Level 3 crushed me yesterday… it’s crazy hard!

Here are my afternoon eats… shredded wheat, strawberries, and Chobani.

I also tried a cup of the new Starbucks Instant Coffee….

CIMG3222

Does Instant Coffee have more caffeine than normal coffee? Because I was all shaky after drinking this!

Some dates around 3….

A cold slice of bread from the fridge around 5 (right before my workout).

Dinner was Annie’s Mac and Cheese with some broc…. eaten while staring at Edward Cullen. 🙂

Time for this Twilight-fanatic to go to bed! GOODNIGHT!

5 miles on the treadmill is impressive! I have to try this Starbucks instant…not sure of caffeine in instant vs. brewed but I know Starbucks in general has super caffeinated coffee…over 300mg in a tall cup!

    great run!! wow!

That VIA stuff has a load of caffeine in it… about the same as a grande at starbucks.

“bore-mill” is right! i can’t stay on for more than 30 minutes. good job on the 5 miler!

your twilight obsession is cracking me up! i’m not so much a fan of the movie, but the book was a great guilty pleasure 🙂

Caitlin – Just wanted to let you know I fixed your “Thanksgiving” rice from your Recipe List as a side dish tonight, and it was a hit! I’m going to have some of the leftovers tomorrow for lunch. Thanks for the great recipe!

PS – The scene in Twilight where Edward is in Ray-bans gets me every time 🙂

i’ve watched twilight 4 times since saturday 🙂 love it!

i agree that treadmills are so boring. i only get on one if there is a tv in front of it so i can have something to occupy myself with. it gets so boring being in the same spot for so long!

I got that sample of Starbucks instant coffee too! I wonder about the caffeine about in it. Oh Edward Cullen! 🙂

  • eatingbender March 25, 2009, 9:41 pm

Hehehe – I’ve been watching it every day since I got it! I highly recommend watching the version with the commentary – it’s hilarious to hear what Rob Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Catherine Hardwicke think of all the scenes!! Gosh…I’m obsessed!

I have yet to try the Starbucks instant coffee. I’ve heard good and bad reviews – not sure about the caffeine, though!

Argh I am obsessed as well! I hate to admit it though! The DVD is no where near available here in the EU so downloading will be my only option. Hopefully it will be ready by this weekend!

Hey Caitlin! So I noticed that you have been eating just a slice of bread before workouts lately instead of the bread + pb?? Have ya noticed that it helps fuel your workouts better?? Just wondering!
PS that mac n cheese looks soo yummy, I still need to watch twilight!

mollie – glad you like the rice!!!

jesslikesithot- hmm i havent really noticed i was doing that. i think im just eating more, but smaller mid-afternoon snacks actually, and the regular old bread is doing me fine.

    Hey Caitlin,
Great question about the caffeine content in VIA. I’m a Starbucks store manager, so I’ll find out and let ya know!
Our brewed coffee has 20mg per ounce and espresso has 75mg per shot. Will be interesting to compare.

I have lots of samples at my store, so I’ve been playing with it in desserts. Not healthy, but fun!

I plan on making myself some Annie’s tonight!

  • Sarah March 26, 2009, 10:35 am

Haha – I had the exact same dinner as you! And we got our instant Starbucks samples in the mail yesterday! Curious to try them.

I must be the odd one out. I like the treadmill because I can jog while I catch up on my tv shows.

As for the coffee, I don’t think instant would have more caffeine. I think all Starbucks roasts, instant or regular, are stronger than most are used to.
