Work vs. Caitlin

in All Posts

Tonight, I won the fight!  I don’t really talk too much about work for privacy purposes, but I have mentioned that it has been a total doozy lately.  I have SO much work to do, which in this economy and in my industry (housing) is GREAT, but I’ve pulled 11 hour days 3 days in a row!

I ended up working until 7:00 PM, and I was determined NOT to blow off my workout.  I didn’t have the time to go to the gym, so I opted for a quickie 5K in the dark.

I was hauling butt and managed to pull of a really decent non-race time!

  • Duration: 27:30 minutes (3.1 miles)
  • Calories Burned: 240 (estimate; HRM is still broken)

These crazy hours really makes me respect how *hard* it sometimes is to squeeze in a workout.  Again, I just need to remember that running is a commitment to myself, and I CANNOT blow it off regularly.

Maggie is pissed I’m working so much, too!  She sits in a chair next to me all day and occasionally gives me kisses… I love her.

OK – Here are the afternoon’s eats!  PLUS — A very fun dinner.

WW toast and pumpkin butter

Plus crackers and hummus (about 2x more crackers than shown)….

Dinner was soooo delicious!  Jenna recommended I try the nine grain pizza dough from Publix Greenwise grocery store, and trust me — this organic dough DID NOT disappoint.

In addition to the pizza sauce and cheese, I added chopped green pepper and bella mushrooms.  Drool worthy!

Here’s my portion (1/4 of the pizza):

Plus a side salad

Stay tuned for the Road ID contest giveaway announcement tomorrow morning!

Hey, at least you get to work from home right? It’s better than working 11 hours in an office! My dad is a CPA and this time of year he works 7 AM – 8 PM!

Maggie is so darn cute! What kind of breed is she? We want to get a basset or a doxie and she looks like a mix? How adorable, I can’t wait till we can have our own place and a doggie! I grew up with a yellow lab and it’s so great how they brighten up our lives and just want to be loved.

eating rd – magge is a dachshund. she is a special color called “piebald” which is a recessive trait and thus very rare. i think puppies go for like $1500 but we got her from a rescue group for $250. i love her soooooooooooooooooo much. dachshunds rule!!

elise – i have a polar f4. i think its pretty good. it was around 90$. it tracks heart rate and calories burned, but not mileage.
