I just got back from my 2nd dress fitting, and my wedding dress fits soooooo well now!  An extra inch of fabric goes a loooong way.  Most importantly — I can BREATHE and SIT DOWN now!

This fitting was to make sure the new waist fit and to get the bottom hemmed.  While I was standing on the little pedestal looking in the mirror at my reflection, I couldn’t HELP but get excited! I actually did a little dance in the dress room where no one could see me.  🙂 The wedding is soooo close!

Let’s see, I’ve got a lot to recap….

Mid-Morning Snack

A Tazo tea with a Z-bar (they’re baaaack).

I made a WW bagel pizza with red and green peppers.

And I had a yummy side salad.

Everyday, I eat lunch at my desk (so I can keep working… I am so efficient).  Everyday, Maggie comes and stares at me until I give her some food.

Her robo-eyes compel me to give her some veggies.

Mid-Afternoon Snack

Around 2 PM, I had Grape Nuts and skim milk.

And another one of VeggieGirl’s blondies…

And around 5 PM, I had a slice of WW bread with PB.  I literally ate this while driving in my car. 🙂

And then I was OFF to the Bridal Shop to get fitted.  As I said, it was veryyyyyyyyy exciting.  Future Husband kept calling me to talk about the honeymoon.  He is working on the plans right now and its really fun to decide what we’ll do in Napa and San Fran. :)  I’ve pretty much given him total control of the honeymoon (as tradition requires), and its nice to *not* be in charge.

Gym Time!

After the fitting, I hit the gym.  I did 45 minutes on the elliptical, 10 push ups, and then ab work for the December Challenge.  I’ll post the details of the ab workout tomorrow, I promise!

I skipped my run today because man, oh man — MY KNEES HAVE BEEN KILLING ME lately! So painful.  Literally, the worst is when I sit down on the toilet (sorry if that was TMI).  My knees make this horrendous sound that reverberates throughout the bathroom…. UGH!  I don’t know why they are worse this week than last! Very frustrating.

I stopped at the grocery store because I was CRAVING fresh bread and warm soup.

I picked up some Wolfgang Puck Organic Soup -  Chicken and Dumpling.

Oh, Wolfgang! You always look like such a pervert.  Seriously, there isn’t a better picture of him?

I had warm French bread (two times what’s shown!) and the whole can of soup.

OK – time for The Office…. and the 3rd book of the Twilight series! 🙂 Have a great night!

AH your so cute with your wedding dress dance! Question: I try to eat at my desk too, how do you avoid crumblies/cheese falling on your work or your computer? 😀 Or am I just messy..

that picture of wolfang never fails to make me laugh out loud. you’re right–there MUST be a better picture of him!

  • K December 11, 2008, 7:06 pm

  • vegannurse December 11, 2008, 7:10 pm

That’s awesome that your dress fits… and I totally would do a little dance in the dressing room if my wedding was creeping closer and closer.. you must be so excited!

Those blondies look DELICIOUS… and Maggie’s robo-eyes are priceless!

You got me into Twilight.. after not really liking the movie, I decided to give the book a chance (usually books are way better than their movie counterparts) so I bought Twilight at my local Wal Mart today! Though I think I will start reading it AFTER finals!

    Have a good night!

    Yay dress!

How exciting your honeymoon sounds–I’ve actually told JR numerous times if we don’t go somewhere out of the country, I’d love to go to California. Napa, San Fran, San Diego, rent a car and drive up the pacific coast high way. Sounds so great!

This is actually a response to an earlier post about office weight loss competitions. Right after you posted, my company sent out an email talking about our new wellness program. We all were given pedometers and have a special place on the intranet to log in the number of steps we take and the minutes of activity we do each day. The contest is through Feb. and the winner gets extra hours of paid time off! I like that much better than a weight loss competition–it encourages a healthy lifestyle, not a diet.

  • HangryPants December 11, 2008, 9:05 pm

Well, I am sure it’s important that you can sit in your dress! By they way, I love your attitude. Lots of peeps would have done crazy things to fit in the dress as it was. I love that about you. 😀

Your knees make me nervous. I hope you’re ok!

  • Katie December 11, 2008, 9:29 pm

Your Wolfgang Comment just caused me to have an uncontrollable giggle fit. It’s so true!

LOVE the picture of Maggie with her flipped-inside-out ears!

And, wow, I never realized Wolfgang looks like such a creeper.

Glad the dress fits…and more importantly, glad you will be able to breathe and sit down on your wedding day. 🙂

  • Erin of Care to Eat December 12, 2008, 4:29 am

Whee! I’m so happy your dress fits!
But so sorry about your knees. KNEE PROBLEMS ARE RIDICULOUS! 🙁 Hey, I heard about this great holistic website where you can order supplements and stuff…maybe they have something for your knee. 😉

  • Caitlin (see bride run) December 12, 2008, 5:46 am

mica and erin – wolfgang is a pervy old man!

hangry pants – you rule. 🙂

  • Elina December 12, 2008, 6:39 am

Haha, this post totally cracked me up!
Sitting down and breathing – both very important on your wedding day!! 🙂
And Wolfgang does look a little creepy on that can but he’s a good chef so we’ll forgive him 😉
Sorry to hear about your knees. Take it easy on yourself, you don’t want to be out of commission for a long time!
