Evening!  Wow – what a fun morning of blog posts.  I’m really excited about the OnlineShoes.com Ratty Sneakers Contest – make sure you enter for a chance to win a $100 gift certificate!

And the Reader Poll was really great to read.  I learned most of you would rather have all the money you could ever need instead of being able to read minds.  A LOT of you have run half marathons (wow!) or even MULTIPLE marathons.  And an amazing percentage of  you like Britney Spears. 🙂

Work was easy, easy! I just cannot wait until Friday – then I’m freeeeeee until we come back from the honeymoon.

This morning I snacked on a Z-Bar.

Lunch was a yummy platter of stuff, like savory cheese, roasted turkey, and about two servings of crackers.

There’s something delightful about means you put together as you eat. 🙂

With some apricots…

I went back for more and finished off the bag 🙂

And some celery and carrots, which I only ate 1/2 of.

My mid-afternoon snack was yogurt + cereal.

An hour later, I went back for another 1/2 a bowl :).

After work, I went over to our friend Harry’s house and we watched Elf!  Best movie EVER. I know every single line; it’s kind of sick.

"Bye Buddy, I hope you find your dad!" "Thanks, Mr. Norwell."

Harry made me a salad

A small bowl of popcorn

And a serving of vanilla wafers.

Yea… a pretty lame dinner, but not horrible!

December Challenge – Making Abs Fun, Day 5

Here’s a very fun and different ab exercise.  No annoying hands-over-head-crunching motion!  This move is called X Obliques.  Courtesy of Fitness Magazine.

  • Lie faceup with arms and legs outstretched, forming an X.

DSCN0022

  • Lift upper back off floor, cross left leg over right and lift legs straight up as you reach arms, palms together, past left knee.

DSCN0023

  • Return to start.
  • Repeat on opposite side for one rep.

DSCN0025

I did15 reps.  This was sooo challenging! 🙂

To recap, here’s the December Challenge so far:

Have a GREAT night!  Oh, I skipped my run tonight, but I’m going to go tomorrow morning!

    Hey Caitlin,

Delurking here for a moment! I was just catching up on the blogs and saw your answers to the Reader Poll – I knew I had to chime in! My fiance and I currently reside in Washington, DC, but we’re dreaming of moving to Charlotte, NC in the next 5 years, too!

Anyway, just thought it was cool that we had that in common. FYI, I LOVE your blog. I love your outlook on exercise, food, life, etc. and I’ve loved reading all about your wedding.

    Have a great night!

“Elf” is the best Christmas movie ever. I’m also particularly glad that they made Will Ferrell’s yellow tights as non-obscene as possible.
