Family Photo Fun

in All Posts

My plans for a long run got aborted when I realized my daddy was coming into town! Whoops! Poor planning on my behalf.   But, I got a wedding chore done, so it wasn’t a total loss.

He brought a bunch of photos over because I want to put together a photo slideshow to play on loop at the wedding on the televisions.  We looked through HUNDREDS of old pictures of our family.  We kind of lost track of time and just ended up ordering pizza.  I had a regular slice and a small slice of spinach pizza.

We’re going to create a DVD of about 200 photos that will play throughout the reception.  It will include more recent photos of our friends and Future Husband and I together. 🙂

Other Eats of the Day

A Luna Chai Tea bar…. not very good! I liked the Kardea Chai Tea bar more.

An apple and a tablespoon of PB.

And some more Grape Nuts and NF plain yogurt…  I couldn’t resist!

Time to sleep! Maybe I’ll try to make up my run tomorrow with an extra long run… we’ll see!

Have a great night!

Ahh such fun family photos, I love them! It’s so fun to look back and see how fashion, hairstyles and beauty regimens changed over time. I can’t help but wonder what I’m going to say when I look back at my pictures years down the road!

And yay for getting to see your dad!

  • Olga November 18, 2008, 9:51 pm

Ahhh i love the pictures! Fantastic 80’s and 90’s outfits/hair. You look so different from when you were a blonde little youngin’!

  • Runeatrepeat November 18, 2008, 10:52 pm

Those pics are so cute! I was just going through old home movies and wanted to post them. Ha. You were a doll 🙂

  • Katie November 18, 2008, 11:06 pm

The family resemblance is so striking!

Have you and the Future Hus tried digitally “creating” your future babies? It’s a little creepy (à la “How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days”) but it’s fun!

Totally agree on that Chai Tea Luna Bar – it definitely tasted like Chai Tea, but yech, so nasty!

Looking through family photos is so much fun! The 80s wasn’t very nice for fashion, was it? LOL.

  • Aimee November 19, 2008, 6:44 am

My hair changed from baby blond to brown too, although now I highlight.

It sounds like the missed workout was really worth it!

  • Meghann November 19, 2008, 7:29 am

Awww…I love all the old pictures. You really made me want to go through my parents photo collection and try organizing it or something. I can’t wiat to see that completed video.

I can’t wait for dinner tomorrow either. I will try to remember to bring sneakers to walk around Lake Eola. You may need to remind me again tomorrow.

  • Bridget November 19, 2008, 7:29 am

  • Halie November 19, 2008, 9:20 am

Great family photos! Those all look like such fun memories!

I LOVE the Luna Chai Tea Bar! Bummer you didn’t like it. I’m going to have to find the Kardea Chai bar, but I don’t think they sell them in my area. I’ll have to do some research…

    Spinach pizza looks so good!
