Good evening! I just came home from yoga, which was FANTASTIC. I feel so much better about life in general after yoga. :) And, I’m really starting to think that yoga is an integral part of training.
Thanks to all of your feedback on my lunchtime post, I learned that I should NOT eat a large dinner before yoga… lest I vomit during a downward dog. 🙂
I planned ahead by pushing back one of my mid-day snacks to 3:00 PM and the second one to 6:30. Of course, I had my normal yogurt + granola.
And, I had a smoothie about 1 1/2 hour before class…
The smoothie contained:
- 1 cup skim milk
- 1 large banana
- 1 scoop Muscle Milk Light
Last, but not least… I also munched on a serving of canned peaches packed in pear juice… mmm mmm mmm! These are a great alternative to fresh fruit!
And, when I got home from yoga, I ate the dinner I had made in advance…. Kashi Pilaf, chicken with BBQ sauce, and broc.
Orthopaedic Doctor Appointment
I am so, so glad the work week is over (I’m on a flex schedule and have tomorrow off). I’ve got a FUN run planned for tomorrow morning.. wooo hooo!
Plus, I have an appointment with an orthopaedic doctor who specializes in sports medicine! My leg has continued to give me trouble, and I want to nip this problem in the bud before it becomes a BIG DEAL.
I picked this clinic because the website boasts, "Jewett Orthopaedic Clinic serves as the official team physicians for the Orlando Magic, University of Central Florida, Rollins College, and the Orlando Predators." If they’re good enough for professional athletes, they’re good enough for me! 🙂
Does anyone have any questions they want me to ask the doctor while I’m there? My insurance sucks, so I might as well squeeze as much as I can out of this appointment! 🙂
