Tired Feet

in All Posts

Add another 7.0 miles of walking around the mall to my cardio for the day.  I am sooooo tired!  Unfortunately, we weren’t too successful in our errands.  We didn’t find centerpiece vases, but we did play around with silk flowers and decided on a general style for the tables.

Pretty, yes?

Before we left for our errands, I had a a few crackers, Laughing Cow cheese, and a peach.

Then, Future Husband, his stepfather, his mum, and I went to the Dandelion Communitea Cafe.  It’s a really fun hippie all-vegan restaurant…. love it!

I munched on an app of hummus + blue corn chips…. delish!  Sorry, no picture.  Then, I had a cup of corn chowder soup.

And I had a cold rice veggie wrap.  It was stuffed with purple cabbage, carrots, and herbs.  It can with a lovely creamy coconut and peanut sauce.

I left feeling bloated…. it was just too much fiber.

And then we ran a bunch of errands, as I mentioned.  It was exhausting.  Some of this wedding stuff is really fun, but some of it is really lame.  I just wish it was all organized and it was January 3!

I munched on Ghiradelli Caramel chocolate while in line at the craft store.  It was a total impulse purchase.  I hate how stores cram all these yummy candies right at the register.

We came home and I made a quick and yummy dinner, since we’re all discussing business (the holistic supplement store is launching in less than 2 weeks and there’s so much to do!!!).

The easiest, cheesiest dinner I know?

Instead of just adding 1/2 cup skim milk to the pasta and cheese powder, I used 1/4 cup of plain yogurt and 1/4 cup milk.  It gave the cheese a nice tangy flavor.

This was so yummy and satisfying.  I love Annie’s mac and cheese!  It doesn’t taste fake AT ALL and the ingredient list is pleasantly short.

OK – I’ve got to go crunch numbers in an Excel spreadsheet for the business! URGGGGHHHHHHH! See you tomorrow!

And don’t forget, Athleta Contest details will be posted TOMORROW!

awww dont worry – i got super stressed and overwhelmed due to all the little details of “extra” things I wanted to do – but it was all worth it – everyone loved all the little details (out of town bags, photo upload cards, etc.) so don’t worry – all your planning will def be worth it 🙂

What mini wedding errands have you been running? I’m sure this is something I have to look forward to hah.

  • Caitlin (see bride run) October 27, 2008, 4:21 am

yay! im glad everyone likes the flowers….

loveofoats – thanks!! that makes me feel so much better!!

sharon – ooo yippee! check the back of the box, there are tons more recipes as well. i’ve made the PB cookies and the muffins, both are good but the pancakes are the best!

leah – oooo mini wedding errands. they never stop. currently here are the wedding errands i’ve been working on: buying a garter, buying shoes, buying placecards, getting quotes from calligraphers and then deciding to it myself, buying favor boxes and labels, buying favor candy, looking for centerpieces, writing the cereony, researching wedding license requirements, hammering out the menu with the catering staff, worrying about my hair, buying candles for the outside area, working on the hotel guest bags….

since we only have 68 days to go, we’re starting to get into the fine details. i think it was more fun when we were doing the general stuff, like booking a DJ or finding a reception site.

  • VeggieGirl October 27, 2008, 4:36 am

    Looooove those flowers!!!!

  • healthy ashley October 27, 2008, 7:21 am

NO WAY! What time were you at Dandelion yesterday? I got lunch from there yesterday, too!

  • Catherine October 27, 2008, 8:59 am

Beautiful flowers!! Try not to get too stressed about the wedding stuff – there are always bound to be kinks along the way.

Last year my sister pre-order special Christrian Louboutin heels from France in June for her October wedding. Well they got lost in the mail somehow and after many heated phonecalls they finally arrived the DAY BEFORE her wedding. Thankfully she hadn’t let it stress her out and had already found a replacement pair to wear if they didn’t come in time.

Don’t mean to scare you, but just remember there will be hiccups and its all in the way that you deal with them. Nothing can take away you marrying future husband and that’s the most important part! 🙂

  • Caitlin (see bride run) October 27, 2008, 9:01 am

catherine – that is great advice! whoa… Christrian Louboutin heels?! i would’ve been stressed if those had gotten lost in the mail, too!

  • Tim Rosanelli November 25, 2008, 12:47 pm
