Normal

in All Posts

Good morning! Happy Sunday! I’m still in Miami, lounging around Lisette’s townhome and waiting for everyone else to wake up!  We didn’t get home until 3:45, so I’m not surprised everyone else is still sleeping.

I can’t wait to get back to my normal eating habits.  After 1.5 days "off," all I wanna do is eat tofu, drink water, and snack on fruits and veggies! 🙂 My body feels so much stronger when I treat it right!

I was craving something substantial for breakfast, so I made an egg and cheese sammie.

Lisette and Danny are almost of out toast, so I used a kaiser roll instead.  It was so soft and chewy!  I’ve also found adding parsley to the egg while it’s frying makes the sammie taste so much more complex and delicious.

In an effort to eat some fruit, I also had a sliced banana.

All together, with coffee (aren’t Lisette’s dishes just divine?):

Last Night

Luckily, last night did not turn into a drinking fest (well, for me).  There was a looooong time in my life when I thought I had to be drinking to have fun.  I felt awkward if I was the only one without a beer in my hand.  I’ve kind of learned to just get over it; plus, it helps that a lot of my friends are done with drinking a lot as well.

I did, however, enjoy a nice, cold bottle of Yuengling…

And I had 1/2 a Shock Top (a wheat beer), but I didn’t really feel like finishing it…. so I didn’t!

We went to all of our old haunts in Coconut Grove, like Mr. Moe’s and Sandbar.  Mr. Moe’s has all these stuffed animals around the bar, like this totally awesome and fearsome bear:

Lisette and I have 3 photos of us in front of that stupid bear, from 2003, 2006, and now 2008!

Plans

Although today is my ‘rest’ day, I took an extra rest day on Wednesday.  And considering how the last 36 hours fared, I seriously want to go on a run or head to the gym.  So, we’ll probably go to LA Fitness when we return to Orlando.

But, for now… Lisette and I may hit up the pool or just lounge around.  :)

Have a wonderful and productive Sunday!

Even though I’m SUPER happy that you had the time of your life this weekend, I understand/feel the same way, about loving getting back to “normal”/routine :0)

I totally understand wanting to get back to your routine! I love vacations, but it’s nice to get back home and on my regular schedule, too. Especially with the food! I miss my oatmeal when I can’t have it 🙁

I completely understand about a weekend of “letting loose” and how it can affect your desire to get back into your healthy routine. I feel that way all the time. I’m sure it was well worth your fun weekend! And your meals all look fabulous!

Enjoy the rest of your day 😀

Mr. Moes!!!! I don’t think a group of girlfriends exist that can resist the bear picture.

Sounds like a fun time! Its sooo hard to eat well in that type of environment! I use to be the same way with drinking and I hardly ever drink now! Its hard to make the change but totally worth it
