You know when you’re in an airport, and you suddenly get a whiff of delicious, hot CINNAMON ROLLS? Well, I always go to the store and drool over the case, but I never get one because… let’s face it… those 5 minutes of pleasure aren’t really worth the 730 calories.
I had a similar craving this AM and decided to make Cinnamon Bun Oatmeal. YUM! How naughty (but not really)! This lower-calorie, whole grain, full of fiber version is to die for!
Cinnamon Bun Oatmeal
Start with a basic whipped banana oatmeal.
Add 1 tsp of cinnamon at the end of baking and mix in.
To create “icing,” mix 1/8 cup non-fat plain yogurt, 1 tsp brown sugar, and 1 tsp cinnamon in a small bowl until smooth.
Sprinkle chopped pecans on top of oatmeal.
Drip “icing” over the oatmeal and pecans.
