My upper body had that lovely “I lifted weights” feeling this morning. I could especially feel it in my triceps and back. Guess the Intro to Iron Pumping Challenge is going to work!
I’m experimenting with my schedule a little bit lately; I’m waking up early to get everyday tasks (like e-mail) out of the way, going to work out around 9 or 10 AM, and then I’ll get into the harder aspects of my workday in the afternoon. I feel like I’m most creative then so this new schedule works out well. This also means that YOU get a more interesting lunch post.
Breakfast:
I was craving a simple bowl of cereal (Costco brand pecan and blueberry) with rice milk.
As well as a shot of wheatgrass:
And an orange.
Sisterhood of the Blogging Pants
I was so excited to receive the Blogging Pants from Monica last week!
This concept was started by Faith, and was inspired by the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants book/movie. In the book, four friends exchange the pants back and forth, which magically fit them all, even though they are all different shapes and sizes. I think the pants are a metaphor for friendship.
The Blogging Pants works on the same concept – bloggers pass the pants around the blog community, writing inspirational messages in fabric marker on the jeans.
For my motivational phrase, I wrote “Happiness is a choice.” This is pretty much my very simple life philosophy, and it’s gotten me through some rough times.
Faith set the following rules for the Blogging Pants (some of which are taken from the book):
- Be your beautiful self and live vivaciously! Have fun!
- You must never say that you are “fat.” You must never think to yourself, “I am fat.”
- Remember, pants=love. Love your pals, love yourself.
- Write your quote, blog, take your picture, and post about the pants (and e-mail Faith), and choose another blogger to send them to!
So far, the following bloggers have ‘owned’ the pants:
As it is traditionally done with the pants, I want to hear who YOU think should receive the pants next. Nominate a blogger (if can be yourself if you want; don’t be shy) who inspires others, needs a little extra motivation, or has done something special or exciting recently.
WHO do you think should get the pants next AND WHY? Nominate away, and I’ll pick the new owner Friday afternoon!

Twitter
What a great idea! I nominate Roni from RonisWeigh! With her site and with BlogToLose.com, she has motivated so many!
I nominate Jenna at eatliverun.com. She has been on an incredible journey over the past year, and her everyday approach to embracing and enjoying life (and everything it throws at you) is inspiring
Heaps of great bloggers I would love to suggest. But I’m nominating Susan from The Great Balancing Act because she’s just started a new job, studying at the same time and she still manages to get out of bed when it is absoluting f-reeeezing in Canada to work out.
Hardcore and inspirational.
I agree with Amy…I want Jenna to have the pants!
One more vote for Jenna @eatliverun!
I love your pants message! You should get that for your next tat.
I’m going with Jenna! Or Ange.
I think they should go to Meghann’s sister Kelly! She rocked her first marathon and her video on Meghann’s blog was so cute!
Good luck with the new schedule- I hope it works out. I love changing things up a bit. Glad to hear you’re enjoying the weight lifting. Gina’s plan sounds awesome
I nominate Bobbi from nhershoes…I love her approach to life and the way you can see what’s truly important to her.
I did her intro to iron pumping workout yesterday and can definitely feel it in my triceps!!
P.S. I nominate Jenn from The Winding Road. I know she’s recovering from an Eating Disorder and rocks at it. Her maturity always amazes me (she’s in college and much more balanced/sane than most her age). She’s really thoughtful and I just love her.
I vote Jenna also!
I nominate Tricia from Endurance Isn’t Only Physical. Every post she writes just makes me stop in my tracks – so inspirational!
jenna!
The whole pant thing is so fun!!!!
I nominate Megan from MegNerdRuns…it took at lot for her to finish Disney BUT she did not give up no matter how many times she had to stop.
She is beautiful.
There’s so many bloggers to choose from! Jenna?
What a cool idea! Love the message you wrote, as well as what the other girls put down. Awesome.
one more vote for Jenna at EatLiveRun!
Oh She Glows Angela! Her blog is always positive and her outlook on life is great.
Jenna @ Eat Live Run
I love this concept! I also put in a vote for Jenna. She is an inspiration everyday to go after what you really want in life!
What a fab idea!! I love that book

I would nominate myself :p(but I’m in England and a new blogger, so it’d be silly really lol!), but I think either Megan from MegaNerdRuns, or Meghann from GraduateMeghann
or Kath from katheats…I have so many favourite bloggers!!
I love the blogger pants idea!! There are WAY too many choices!
Amy at Amy’s Quest!!! I think it would be fun for the pants to make it to Canada, and Amy is a true inspiration.
What a great idea!!
Jenna!
I nominate Megan from Meganerdruns, she trained hard for the Disney marathon and even though she wasn’t feeling well she kept going and rocked it!
what a great idea! i nominate jenna from eatliverun. she is so inspiring how she’s completely reinvented her life the past year, moved, changed jobs and followed her dream.
I vote for Jenna too!
What a GREAT tradition!! This is so fun and exciting Caitlin
.
I nominate Allie from Live Laugh Eat!! She is so motivating and fun, and I have e-mailed her a few times and her responses have been SO sweet and helpful. Her blog makes every day better!
Megan from Meganerdruns!!
I vote Jenna @eatliverun! I love how she chose to follow her dreams and move cross-country on a whim! Very inspiring!
meghann! her story is so inspiring- and she still enjoys her everyday treats in moderation!
What a great idea!! Looks like Jenna will be getting the pants next
Jenna
me! I’m having a rough time lately. JUST KIDDING! I think Shelley from Finding Happiness and Health. She’s so honest, and has really come a long way!
Oooh…so hard to choose! I nominate Megan from MegaNerdRuns. Her marathon was inspirational.
It’s so tough to choose from all of my favorite bloggers – but I nominate Megan from MegaNerdRuns! She powered through the marathon while in exteme pain and had to go back to school the very next day.
I nominate Megan from MegaNerdRuns! Her first marathon experience was amazing and so real and raw. It’s hugely inspiring and definitely deserves to receive them!
I have to choose just ONE? Yikes! I’ll go with Jenna, too, because I truly admire how she’s handled all that she’s been through in the past year.
Jenna at Eat live run – She has been through so many changes in the last year and how she has handled it all is very inspiring!
I nominate Tina from Carrots n’ Cake!
Megan-MegaNerdRuns!
I nominate Megan from MegaNerdRuns.. It took a lot of strength and determination for her to finish Disney..She’s awesome!
Jenna EatLiveRun!
Tough choice because there are so many lovely inspirational bloggers out there… I think MegaNerd should get them next, though–she trained for a marathon with a full engineering class load and managed to rock the marathon through her pain and discomfort.
Tina from Carrots ‘N Cake!
I was thinking Tina from CnC or Gina from the Fitnessista.
I nominate Jenna from Eat, Live, Run as well! I love that she’s following her dream and not letting anything stop her.
Happy delurking day!
I nominate Melissa at Trying to Heal…she shares so much of herself with us, and just moved across the country AGAIN for her job. She is so real and relatable, and just so sweet!
Tina from Carrots N Cake because she is recommitting herself for her 30th birthday and could use some inspiration!
I nominate Angela from Oh She Glows! She has been so honest about her life through her blog. I love her positive attitude too
roni from roni’s weigh! she is great and part of me feels that she would benefit from this lovely boost – who couldn’t?!
I nominate Megan from Meganerdruns!! She accomplished a great marathon despite some unexpected troubles.
Gina or Tina for sure, they are definitely deserving of them
I nominate Angela from Oh She Glows. She has got to be the most positive and inspirational woman I’ve ever come across. This is something that right up her alley!
Such a cute idea – I nominate Tina from CnC as well!
Tina from CnC- she is fantastic and is getting her butt in gear to own 30!!!
I nominate Jenna from Eat, Live, Run. She’s had a lot of changes in her life (good and bad) this past year but has pushed through and is following her dream out in CA. Truly inspirational!
I nominate Bobbie from N her shoes. Her blogs are always so positive. I look forward to reading about her day, and Bosco is to cute!!!
I think Meganerd deserves them! She rocked her marathon despite her troubles and on the plus side you would save on shipping.
I think this is a cute idea, but it seems kind of like a popularity contest waiting to happen!
I have a question about knees! I recently bought some rock tape to tape up my knees before running, instead of a brace. I think I remember you using tape for a while? What did you think of it? I’m slowwwwwwly building up my miles again after a very frustrating few months, but I’m terrified to mess it up. When I run, all I can think about is my knee pain, and then I start to think I’m making it up. I’m constantly on edge waiting for a twinge, and I’ve forgotten what any “normal” discomfort on a run might feel like and now think it’s a sign of doom. I admire your ability to work on recuperation…it’s not easy
ugh i hate that feeling, when you are waiting for pain to begin.
my post about knee tape is here: http://www.healthytippingpoint.com/2009/07/knee-sleeves-vs-athletic-tape-a-review.html i can’t really tell you how to do it, because i’m not qualified. maybe a Physical Therapist can show you? The sleeves work well, too.
I nominate Honey Nut Lo because she’s a badass.
Tina at CarrotsNCake! She’s starting her new fitness/healthy living project next week to get in shape by 30!
I vote the pants go to Megan from meganerd runs! I just watched her video from the marathon and she earned them for sure!
How fun! What a wonderful idea! I love that movie. Love what you wrote, Caitlin! So true!
I vote for Meganerd too…she finished her first marathon despite dealing w/ some *unpleasant* struggles. She’s awesome!
I love Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants (the book, not the movie). And you’re right, Caitlin – why be shy? I’ll nominate myself!
I’m in an interesting place in life – I’ve been married 10 years, I’ve been to grad school, I have a good job and I live in a wonderful city. And yet, after I turned 31 last month, I really started to evaluate what I want in life and decided to finally go after it. I’m terrified. The odds are stacked against me, and I know there may be plenty of bumps and heartache along the way. But without those, the end result wouldn’t be as sweet.
Heather Bakes!
The SnackFace!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I nominate Megan from meganerdruns.com. Her training and marathon experience was inspirational!
Another vote for Megan
Voting for Jenna of ELR!
tina from carrotsncake!
aw, this is like voting for class president
. i think you should go with an unconventional choice for a surprise upset!
haha i want to chose a blogger than people might not be as familiar with.
Then pick Heather from ThenHeatherSaid!
i nominate heather at ThenHeatherSaid too.
I nominate JENNA at eatliverun.com. she has had a hard, yet thrilling, crazy, but exciting year. she deserves those pants the most I believe
My vote is for Oh She Glows Angela.I know she would have a great message to put on the pants.
Jenna, no doubt. She has had such a crazy year and has been an inspiration through the whole thing!!
hands down nomination goes to Jenna at Eat Live Run! Not only has she had a rough road this year but her mentality on life has been a deep inspiration. She might be a well known blogger but there’s a reason for it
Another vote for Megan at MegaNerd Runs. Out of all of the blogs I read, I find you and Megan to be the most inspirational. I salute both of you for running the marathon this past weekend. Watching Megan’s video gave me so much hope for my own running, and I’m so inspired that she pushed on despite not feeling well.
Roni from Roni’s Weigh
Jenna @ Eat Live Run
I say Diane from fit to the finish! She is great
I SECOND the vote for Susan at The Great Balancing Act! Susan is going through some tough personal stuff too right now and I think this would brighten her day…which really, in Canada, is pretty needed. Plus she always gives really great advice, and her fitness and health story is inspirational.
I want to nominate Jenny from This Winding Road (jenngirl.wordpress.com). Not only is she brave enough to share her past with us, she has let us into the scary world that is recovering from an eating disorder. She shares her daily meals and workout plans as well as her adventures as a Senior in college entering Grad school. I think most of your readers would love a chance to get to know Jenny!
Hi Caitlin! I’m gonna go ahead and nominate myself for the traveling pants. I’ve been so inspired by the huge and amazing food blog community that I created my own, on a whim, only 3 days ago. I’m a college student in Arizona, but my quest for a fitness filled, healthy life has been 80 pounds and 2 years in the making. I love making young women feel empowered in all that they can accomplish, and, well, I love food!! I am such a fan of your blog and hope to finish my first half marathon this spring. Anyway, I can see it might be a popularity contest, but the “new blood” have a lot to say as well. It would be an honor and such a great step into the community of bloggers. Have a good Thursday!
Angela from Oh She Glows- throw some love Canada’s way
Jenna or Angela!
Jenna at ELR!
I would like to see Elina from Healthy and Sane get the pants.
I nominate Bobbi from NHerShoes, she is a great inspiration both in her fitness/food life and spiritual life! She is so positive and encouraging!
I think that the next pants owner should be Holly from “The Healthy Everythingtarian” because she is so honest, funny, and embodies what it means to be a REAL woman!
xoxo
Lo
HoneyNutLo.Com
Brandi from BranAppetit should get them. She is so inspiring at just being her.
I think Jenna from eatliverun or Tina from Carrots n Cake because they both inspire women with their commitment to health, fitness, beauty inside and out and accepting themselves no matter what! I am especially inspired by Tina’s challenge to get in shape by her 30th!
I’m nominating Allison at Green Dog Wine since she just shared that she had been crying daily for weeks and in a bad space. I think this is just the thing to lift her soul.
Ange from OhSheGlows.com b/c she rocks & inspires me daily!
I think you should nominate someone who is inspirational, but not so well known. Let the underdog have their moment I guess. I hope your foot is better soon. Swimming is a great workout. I did that consistently after a knee injury and it was one of the hardest workouts I ever did. Granted, I felt like I was turning into a fish, but oh well.
Love your pants message, by the way.
Megan!! She recently had a lot of hardships with school, and she also completed her first marathon (as you know
). Anyways, as a college student, she inspires me daily
I love Tina from Carrotsncake. She’s so positive and is such a great inspiration!
Angela from Oh She Glows
Jenna!
I love this idea! It’s sooo cool. I nominate Angela from Oh She Glows – she’s inspirational and full of new and healthy ideas that’re really good fun!
Allison at Green Dog Wine – I love how she is able to balance healthy living while having fun at the same time! (i.e. she eats lots of veggies but also drinks lots of beer hahaha)
Can I say two?
I nominate Meghann from Inner Workings and Tina from Carrots ‘N’ Cake.
I would have to nominate Angela from Oh She Glows. her posts are always inspirational, motivational and uplifting. She seems like the sweetest person too.
Allison @ Green Dog Wine!! Her blog is great and I don’t go a day without reading it! Her trips to the grocery store, eating everything in the house before going to the store, and her dog stories are great!!
Angela from Oh She Glows! I love her blog and her outlook.
[...] I completed Day #1 of Gina The Fitnessista’s HTP Intro to Iron Pump. Wow. Like Caitlin at Healthy Tipping Point who The Fitnessista created the 12-week challenge for, I really feel it this morning! I can [...]
What a great idea!!!
I nominate Allison at Green Dog Wine! She represents what the “Traveling Pants” are all about: friendship, truth, balance, love and strength.
I did Day #1 of the Intro yesterday as well and totally feeling the burn this AM, in a good way! The stability ball pushups are so worth it, give it a try, you can definitely do ‘em!
I nominate Tina from Carrots N Cake!
I think Gina over @ fitnessista definitely deserves it!!!!!!!
Such a cool idea!!!
I also vote Jenna from http://www.eatliverun.com . She is SUCH an inspiration. Personally, just seeing how positive she stays no matter WHAT happens is incredible to me. She has been through a lot and taken so many risks but has come out a stronger woman with an incredible life to show for it!
I nominate Allie @ livelaugheat.com. Her blog brightens my day and make me smile =)
What about Hangry PANTS?
Heather was the first one to receive the pants after Faith started them….
I nominate Mel from Trying To Heal, http://rainforestgurl.blogspot.com, who has overcome a lot and just needs that final push I think the pants would give her. She’s contemplating signing up for a marathon, but had a bad experience with injury after the last one she tried for and couldn’t follow through with. I hope the pants could help her realize she can do a marathon if she gives it another shot.
What about Elina at Healthy and Sane?
I love your message!
I am with the few others who voted for Susan of The Great Balancing Act. That girl has a great attitude about her health, and manages to balance TONS of things in her life and always have a smile on her face!
I nominate Lindsay at http://goodiesgalore.wordpress.com/. Lindsay is a semi-new blogger and one of my absolute favorites. The sense of humor and sarcasm in her writing is something I can really relate to. Not to mention that she’s up front and honest in every single post. I think a really important ingredient to being a good blogger is having the ability to relate to others and have others relate to you – Lindsay does just that!
I nominate Allie From Pimp My PRotein Shake. She rocks.
Marisa from Loser for Life. She just posted a few entries being really down on herself on her journey to her weight goal/becoming a runner. I think this will be a perfect pick me up!
Also throwing my hat in the ring for Susan at The Great Balancing Act. She’s a rockstar.
There are so many bloggers who are inspirational to me… and I like supporting those who are not part of the “popular” blogging crowd… (someone who hasn’t quite broken into the big time!)
I vote for nicci of http://www.niccisniftyeats.com she’s a personal friend of mine, and a lovely person.
xo
k
I want to nominate Nathalie Bearden from – http://www.kennedyandfriends.typepad.com/ Nathalie lives in Springfield, MO and is a mama of a beautiful little girl “K” She has recently graduated with a degree in cell and molecular biology. Her blog is dedicated to photography and anything and everything that is beautiful she captures on film and posts it for others to see.
Caitlin my friend,
Check out Kat at http://fromatopink.wordpress.com/
she recently just went public on her blog about living with CF since she was diagnosed at 16. She remains upbeat and encouraging even through struggles of hearing not so good news from doctors, or feelind defeated in her CF. She has taught me (and is still teaching me) about CF and her candid, honest look into her life has touched me. I will be participating in my first benefit race for CF in her honor- she would be a GREAT fit for the bloggin’ pants!
The pants are a cute idea
Can’t wait to see who gets them!
I love Krissie at http://questionsfordessert.com/
I’d like to nominate Theodora from Losing Weight in the City (http://losingweightinthecity.com/). Theodora kicks ass and has lost almost 50 pounds in the last year. Did I mention she just ran her very first half-marathon — and at Disney, too!
I want to nominate Ali at http://foodfitnessfashion.com/ I love her blog and it really is what started me blogging! I think she deserves it!
I hate to be one of the only few, but I would like to nominate myself.
I’ve been blogging for a little under a year and I think my blog has come a long way. I recently moved to NYC this past September to pursue a career in filmmaking. These past few months have been really hard, but also inspiring at the same time. I thought I knew who I was and what I wanted, but these things have changed. The blog and my new life in NYC has really opened me up for the better. I am still struggling to find a job that I want, but I know it will happen soon! Reading blogs has become a huge inspiration to me and it has helped me realize how important health, fitness, and happiness are to me. I just want to be happy in everything that I do!
I think either ohsheglows.com or fitnessista.com. they are both really inspirational and have helped me with day to day living.
PEAS AND THANK YOU!!! … should get the pants!!! What an inspiration of raising a family!!!
Ahh I would nominate an amazing girl over here in England, and a friend of a friend, who was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 22, blogs about it to inspire others, and has started up where own charity but… in America, I don’t really know so much but beside you AMAZING marathoners I would say Caroline at The Broccoli Hut for maintaining her health and having fun whilst finishing her finals, or else HEAB or Angela at Oh She Glows. Certainly these ladies, and yourself have, although you don’t know it, got me through some tough times
I would have to nominate Ashley from Fashionably Fit. Her 120 pound weight loss is an inspiration, and I think her attitude about life, weight loss and healthy living are great!
I nominate Allison from Eat Clean Live Green
My vote would be for Maria from RealFitMama.com I love her blog. It ranks right up there for me with all the “big name” food bloggers, but is not as well known.
I nominate Katharine from “From A to Pink” http://fromatopink.wordpress.com/
Her story is amazing and I am really hoping she succeeds in running her first 5K.
I’m not too shy to nominate myself! :> Plus I LOVED that movie…even though everyone teases me about it.
Courtney
adventures in tri-ing
Iowa Girl Eats! iowagirleats.com She is a midwestern girl like myself, has such fun recipes and she just went to NYC to be in a photo shoot for an ad campaign.
I nominate the ladies in Boston, Tina and Elina, so they can easily pass to themselves!
I’m surprised no other votes yet on this one: Skinnyrunner! She is an absolute riot and no other blog is like hers. I love the entertaining factor of her blog and I look forward to reading about all her races because she inspires me to want to train harder since she has really trained hard to become a better and faster runner. Give her the pants!
I’d like to nominate Ange at Oh She Glows !
I nominate Amanda from http://mynewlife-manderz.blogspot.com/. She has lost over 100lbs and is an amazing inspiration!
It looks like Jenna, Angela, Gina or Tina might win but I recently came across Rose from On a Lobster Placemat. She’s awesome! Her posts are really well written and fun. However, I don’t think she’s very well known yet. I like how she balances Food, Art and Fun.
I’d like to nominate Anne from FAnneTastic Food http://www.fannetasticfood.com/. I love her witty approach and she shares healthy recipes. Seems like a fun gal!
Aw, thanks hun!
I am going to be the shy-not-so-shy one and nominate myself and my blog http://www.voraciousvorilee.com. I need some inspiration and think the pants may help!
I nominate wwww.kelseytoney.com. She has inspired me with her weightloss story. Encouring me to keep going in fitness and running. She’s a new local blogger friend that I enjoy reading and getting to know in person! She’s uplifting and fun to be around.
I think I want to nominate myself. Is that terrible? Back in October I decided that I would try running even though for my entire life I had convinced myself that I could not be a runner (and that I could not do 100 million other things). I trained from rock bottom starting with running 1 full minute and walking 2 until I could run a 5k. I could not and would not have done it without my husband (of 8 months) reminding me that I could. And he has convinced me I can do a lot of things…after all of the time I wasted before I married him, I finally know I can try and do new things. My confidence is slowly expanding and I am loving it.
PS today is my first time on your blog and I really like it
My vote goes to Kailey from SnackFace!
Not only is she hilarious & real, but her post today was refreshing – all about how she has found what works for her in her lifestyle, and tries not to jump on the bandwagon of other people’s fitness goals. check it:
http://snackface.wordpress.com/2010/01/14/sunfloury-day/
I nominate Maria from realfitmama. I knew Maria as a little girl when my kids were growing up. I have recently become acquainted with the “grown up” Maria aka realfitmama and she is awesome and such an inspiration to me at 57!!!!!
Caitlin, I’d like to nominate Katharine from http://fromatopink.wordpress.com/. Granted, I am a little biased; I’ve been close friends with Katharine for 2+ years, but I feel that makes me very qualified, because I’ve seen on a day-to-day basis how she struggles to managed a “normal” life while coping with cystic fibrosis.
Katharine waffled for a long time about “coming out” on her blog, and I’m so glad that she did. It’s been an amazing support system already, and she would be an excellent choice to pass on the blogging pants
I totally want to nominate myself! I don’t usually like to do that but you said not to be shy. I don’t think that many people know me still even though I have been blogging for almost 2 years.
Why do I deserve the pants?
I lost 70 lbs (and maintained it) and I’m a big believer in keeping a positive attitude, it’s one of the main things that helped me get there. I also went from never having run before to doing a half marathon in 2008. I’m currently training for that same half again right now!
Thanks, I really love the pants concept
Allison from green dog wine is the best – I nominate her!!!
I’d like to nominate Allison from Green Dog Wine – her posts are entertaining and real and she always has an honest opinion to share.
i vote for allison at greendogwine.com
Hi Caitlin! I love your quote on the Blogging Pants! I am wondering how much wheatgrass you put into that glass? I just bought some from Amazing Grass and used the scoop that comes in it. Is this what you use? Thanks!
Also, I would like to nominate Eve of http://nutritionbyeve.wordpress.com/. She is an RD who shares her knowledge and recipes on her blog.
Yes! I just mix it with some apple juice or rice milk.
I would like to nominate Jen at Prior Fat Girl (http://www.priorfatgirl.com/). I found her blog and was a follower before I knew she was about 10 min from me! She is a real tough cookie, straight forward with her challenges and honest when she is discouraged, she is candid with her struggles to lose weight and be healthy (she’s lost 100lbs in the last year!!), she is funny and giving (she has an e-cook book for sale to benefit the YMCA) and a complete inspiration to me daily to be true to my path. Go Jen!
I vote for Nate, the Blogstalker.
I don’t read a lot of the well-known blogs, so I’m going to nominate a less well-known one (well, you asked!). One of the blogs I look forward to every day is Kim’s over at Ilax Studio. It doesn’t have a catchy name, but Kim always asks thought-provoking questions and tries to live in the moment.
I want to nominate Linday at http://www.soundeats.com/
I think her posts are really interesting and genuine. And when I have commented with questions she has taken the time to email me very helpful responses. I think she’d be perfect to get the blogger pants next!!!
You said you wanted someone less well known… as for a great blogger who has been doing this less than a year, I vote for Ms. Postive, Full of Energy – otherwise known as Alex from Happy Go Lucky (happygolucky.wordpress.com)!
im glad everyone has liked the idea! i second anyone that nominated themselves because that takes self confidence and gut! GO GIRLS!
I want to be shameless and nominate myself, so I am half nominating myself because I could sure use a pick me up as I am overwhelmed by the job hunt!
But mostly nominating Ashley from healthyashley.com! I think her completing two marathons in the last few months and continuous positive attitude and encouraging words are super inspiring and motivating!
Shamelessly nominating two..(;
I vote Gina at FItnessista.com because she’s just been a great inspiration to me in changing how I’m living/eating etc.
I’m gonna sneak in Angela from Oh She Glows and Kristen from Kristen’s Raw too – because I think they’d both have fantastic messages and would really appreciate the gesture!
Sarah @ skinnyrunner.com!!!
She’s motivating, gets to the point, and funny!!!
If you don’t read her blog you are missing some great stuff.
I second the nomination of Lindsey from Sound Eats. She seems like a genuinely kind person who has managed to stay positive and upbeat despite some big challenges in the last year (unemployment, moving, and health issues.) She just enrolled in college classes to follow her dream of being a dietitian and I think that’s pretty darn exciting!
Plus, she lives in Florida so you can be carbon-friendly by shipping locally, so to speak
I’d love to nominate my own blog – http://www.jagsfitnessblog.com – as I am a relatively new blogger and trying to increase traffic. Sadly, I am in the UK so I don’t think I qualify.
So, I’d like to vote for Gina @ http://www.fitnessista.com as I love her blog.
I can’t chooose!
I think I two will nominate Krissie from questionsfordessert.com. Love her!
and now i need to go check out some blogs that I have apparently been missing!
I nominate Susan, from The Great Balancing Act! She’s been through some pretty intense changes lately, and I think it would put a smile on her face!
Ps.. this is my first time commenting, but I’m a regular reader! You are truly an inspiration!
Jenna– Eat, Live, Run!! Love her
Angela from Oh She Glows
I think skinnyrunner at skinnyrunner.com is hilarious! She has such a real way about her.. I just started reading her blog and I’m hooked.
Another vote for Jen @ priorfatgirl!
I think Angela from Oh She Glows should get the pants next.
Shes so sweet and positive. Her blog was my inspiration to start over myself and live a healthier lifestyle.
This feels wrong, but in reality, it shouldn’t. I am nominating myself! I have faced my fears by recently starting my own blog with a mission to live a healthier, braver life that hopefully inspires others. Here’s to being proud of who we are, loving our own self, and shouting it from the roof tops!
I nominate Maria from realfitmama.com. Her blog is real. She is a real person living a real life. She is staying healthy and fit and living the best life she possibly can all while raising two little girls who will hopefully make the same choices as they grow older. Lifeis hard. Being a parent is the most difficult thing anyone can do and she is doing an amazing job at all she chooses to do.
I know a really cool girl that I would like to nominate. Her name is Jolene and she is from http://www.everydayfoodie.ca
Hehe.
As a blogger, I look for someone to motivate me or give me inspiration or make me feel capable of doing anything or just make me smile. Heather at thenheathersaid does that. She is such a vibrany happy female in a worl of many catty and hateful women (can you tell I work with nothing but women) and I think she deserves the pants!!
Meghann from GraduateMeghann….. love her.
Kailey of SnackFace (snackface.wordpress.com) She’s not afraid to be herself and is funny, real, and genuine in all of her posts. She mixes up her blog with her humorous attitude. Love her!
This is such a cute idea! There are so many great bloggers, every one is amazing in their own way. Whomever receives the pants is deserving!
I nominate Rose from onalobsterplacemat.com. Rose’s blog is fresh, witty, a great read — AND very reflective. That’s hard to pull off, but Rose does it because she’s a gifted writer and passionate about health. She presents questions to her readers that really get down to the nitty gritty. And she inspired me to start blogging.
I would like to nominate Megan from MegaNerdRuns…..I know she’s your friend, but she has definitely motivated me AND I think she could use a pick me up after the marathon on Sunday (I mean, who couldn’t, right?). I love reading her blog and seeing what she has to eat (especially when she bakes!) and I think she would make a great owner!
I can’t believe I’m doing this, but I am nominating myself! I have only been blogging for a few months now, since November to be exact, and I LOVE it! This is such a fun little community. I was jealous of everyone who got to participate in the Healthy Living Summit because sadly I found out about it way too late! So, I hope you girls are planning on it again! Anyways, I guess I have finally gotten comfortable enough to talk about my weight loss and the healthy lifestyle that I have chosen for myself. I was always that shy fat girl, who never liked to talk about food or exercise or weight…and that seemed to continue on even though I went on to lose 65 pounds. Then, I started running and totally gained back my confidence…so, 4 years later I am happy with myself, happy about my weight and just completed my 2nd marathon!
.
Thanks girls! This is so much fun. I love ALL of your blogs! Come on over and check out mine

Count me for another vote for Allison at Green Dog Wine! I love her realistic approach to healthy living. Plus I’m sticking with my NEOhio gals!
I love this idea for two reasons
1) It allows me to read about tons of new blogs I haven’t heard yet
2) Its brilliant. Damn myself for not thinking of it first!
I’m voting for biggirleats because she’s HILARIOUS!
Kailey from SnackFace!!!!
I’d like to nominate Kristen from Iowagirleats. I just recently started reading her blog and recipes are always fabulous. She seems to have a great attitude towards life and I think getting the traveling pants would be great so she can get more people to read her blog. However if you do go with a more well known one then Tina from CNC. LOVE her attitude towards everything and love Murphy.
Ok, I am just going to do it and nominate myself. Life is a journey and in the process of transforming myself I am learning that the number on the scale does not define my self worth or value in any sense. I am learning what it is like to take care of myself inside and out:)
http://www.growingintorebecca.com
I nominate Cynthia from http://www.Itallchanges.wordpress.com. She just hit her WW goal, and that’s a huge accomplishment- plus her blog is super cute and more people should read it!
Feel better soon, Caitlin!
Diane @ FittotheFinish
I’m getting totally crazy here and nominating The Peanut Butter Boy at http://www.peanutbutterboy.com/! That’s right! A boy! He’s hilarious, comes up with some BANGIN’ recipes, and he definitely has a healthy body image!
these are gonna be some powerful pants! i nominate Gina the Fitnessista
and maybe if it’s not too much trouble you could post all the people that have been nominated? there are a bunch of blogs that i haven’t come across yet, and they must all be great to be receiving nominations!
Rose from onalobsterplacemat.com!! I love her blog. She is amazing!!
I vote for Angela at Oh She Glows!
Bobbi from NHerSHoes.I love her blog and she has such a positive outlook on life.
I vote for Melissa (Trying To Heal). She’s been having a hard time lately but being so upfront and honest about it. It’s really inspirational to see bloggers fighting against difficulties and coming through with shining colors
I’m also nominating myself
Mainly because I am new to the blogging community, but have still managed to aquire a decent following. I also try to provide, meaningful and relevant content. I never post to drive traffic — i never post just to poat. I post because I think what I’m saying provides value to my readers and I truly enjoy doing it.
I think it’s too easy for others to foget what blogging is all about — it’s not about traffic — it’s not about a popularity contest. It’s about becomming part of something bigger– this community — and trying to make a difference (even a small one).
love to all
I think Tina of Carrots n Cake!
Sarah @ Skinnyrunner! If you have not read her blog you need to check it out.
I have to nominate SkinnyRunner! She seriously brightens my day with her hilarious posts!
I thought the whole idea was to vote for a blogger who was less known??? Come on Ladies!!! I vote for Brittney @ Eating Bird Food
[...] Operation Beautiful), chose me, of the boatload of amazing bloggers, to be next in line for the Blogging Pants. And I couldn’t be more thrilled. A HUGE thank you to Caitlin and those who nominated me [...]
I would, humbly, like to nominate myself for the next person to have “the blogging pants”. I am 28 years old and am going through somthing that I don’t even know how to describe. I am an alcoholic and have recently been trying to “get sober”. I also suffer from Cysitic Fibrosis, like Katharine. My problem is that I don’t like to be sober. And, I don’t like myself sober, either. My treatments are non-stop it seems and I have trouble keeping friends because I am so depressed and miserable. I am a nice girl, but I am so depressed and unhappy. I just have a hard shell. So, maybe you would be my friend. That is why I would like to have the pants. Make it a CF thing, baby!
