Stupid Sand Pit!

Golfing with the Husband was so much fun.  He played all 18 holes, but I only played 9.  Golfing in the Florida heat is really tiresome!

I LOVE DRIVING GOLF CARTS! There is something so magical about them! :)

The Husband played really well and he looked nice in his new golf outfit. :)

We left for golf around 9:30 and didn’t get home until 4:30.  I didn’t think to pack a lunch (duh!) so I just snacked the entire morning and afternoon.

I ate PB with a plum:

An Eat Natural yogurt bar:

Nuts and raisins (I ate about 1/2):

And a Diet Pepsi (so sue me!):

I didn’t do great on the 9 holes I played, but I wasn’t horrendous, either!  However, there was a wicked sand pit around Hole 8 that really did me in….

Here I am, chewing on my fingers and trying to figure out how the heck to get past this STUPID SAND PIT:

Attempt #1…

And… Attempt # 7!

(That’s when I got it out… YAY!)

I just made this yummy grilled cheese and tomato sammie plus a few carrots.  I guess this was my  "Linner" (lunch/dinner).  We’ll be eating again later, but first we have to drive to the coast.  We’re celebrating the Husband’s birthday on the BEACH!

See you for dinner… I’ll be reporting from paradise!

Have a wonderful Friday afternoon! :)

My husband plays golf and I want to learn. Have you taken lessons? How often do you guys place? I may ask for a set of clubs from my in-laws for Christmas.

Did the husband tell you this trick about getting out of a sand pit? You draw a rectangle about the size of a dollar bill around the ball (draw it in the sand) and then when you swing, have your club hit right where the rectagle begins, so a few inches from the ball. My husband showed me that the first time he took me golfing (all 18 holes!) and I got out of the sand trap on the first swing! Try it next time!

When I saw the title of this post, I was worried you fell into a sand pit while on your bike! Glad it was just a golf thing :)
