Since an intense virus scan is currently being run on my work computer and I cannot work, I thought I’d do a Wedding Rehearsal Dinner post!
As you may know, I was married on January 3. Posting around that time became increasingly sporadic, and I never got to share the details of our WONDERFUL wedding rehearsal!
Before the rehearsal, which was the Friday before the wedding, our entire bridal party met in the hotel lobby for drinks. Here’s some of the bridesmaids and groomsmen:
Lovebirds:
My BFFs:
Family:
We all carpooled to the wedding site and did a dry-run of the wedding ceremony. I was SO nervous, but it was a lot of fun. I actually refused to practice the vow exchange because it felt awkward to do it ahead of time. I carried my bridal shower bouquet down the aisle.
I have to say, I was impressed with how well our bridal party listened to the planner’s instructions and what not. I wasn’t surprised because they are all caring people, but there was a LOT of people in the party so I thought that might be an issue.
After the rehearsal, we carpooled back downtown and walked from the hotel to Spice Steakhouse, one of our favorite restaurants in downtown Orlando.
It’s right on the water, which was nice for pictures!
We had over 30 people there! Luckily, we were in a private room.
Dinner was delicious. Guests could choose between filet mignon, a larger steak, chicken, fish, or a vegetarian meal. I got the filet mignon.
(Sorry, I ate most of it before I realized I should photograph it!). It was SOOOO GOOD.
Dessert tray:
There was also a LOT of free booze involved (well, I only drank a glass, but I think everyone else drank their fair share!):
This is my BFF Sarah and her boyfriend. Isn’t the height difference awesome?
Afterwards, we came back to the hotel room and the Husband and I signed our marriage license:
Sarah and my brother-in-law signed the license as witnesses.
Then… the Husband went home and I stayed at the hotel with my mother! I was worried I wouldn’t be able to sleep but I promptly passed out by 10:30 PM.

Hi Caitlin! Thanks for the portion control tip for the cheese. I know you are a big fan of Twilight, so I was just wondering if you had a chance to read the Edward version of Twilight. If not, its on Stephanie Meyers website under the Twilight series books as “Midnight Sun”. The first draft is about 300 pages. Check it out if you haven’t read it. Its great
