Blogging from Paradise

in All Posts

The in-laws asked if we’d like to house- and dog-sit for them this weekend, and we practically jumped at the chance.  After all, their house is my version of Florida paradise!

The Husband and I spent a good hour snuggled up on this recliner, drinking wine:

Then the Husband made dinner!  I was starving.

That’s NOT chicken! :)  It’s tofu chicken and — to be honest — it freaked me out a little bit.  It was almost a little TOO much like the real thing for me to enjoy it.   I ate around the tofu chicken and ate the kidney beans instead.  (The Husband plated my dinner and served up way too much food.  I only ate about 2/3.)

Plus, I had another piece of French British bread:

My in-laws gave us a thank you bag with wine and chocolate in it (as mentioned, I feel like I should pay them to let me house-sit!  Treats are definitely not necessary):

I had a bit of the chocolate with my wine + some chocolate ice cream.

It’s highly likely I will consume more ice cream and wine tonight.  Alright, it’s pretty much a given!

The doggies like it here, too.  🙂

Off to get acupuncture from my lovely and talented Husband!  See you in the AM.  Have a safe and fun Friday night.

  • Caitlin at Healthy Tipping Point August 22, 2009, 3:29 am

RE: the chicken tofu, yes it was morning star and YES it was "good" but i don't think i like faux meat so i didn't enjoy it.
