Random Munching

in All Posts

Thanks for all your great advice on stretching!  I’m going to post a summary of the suggestions sometime tomorrow.  I really appreciated hearing your feedback and I know others will, too!

I did not really ever eat a "dinner" tonight — I just kind of randomly munched throughout the afternoon and evening.

Like on two nectarines around 2:

Slices of mini-toast with PB around 4:

As mentioned, a real "dinner" never happened.  I slammed a ProBar around 5:30 on my way out the door:

I really like this flavor — it’s called Cherry Pretzel and there are so many different tastes inside!  And since it’s a 400-calorie bar, it kept me full for a long, long time.

After night shift, I munched on some watermelon:

Maggie had a little bit, too! 😉

Good night, sleep tight!

Nothing wrong with a little grazing. We've been conditioned to believe we need these 3 "square" meals, each with meat, startch, and veggies, but there's really no reason for it!

Wow, can't believe that bar is 400 cal! Looks good, though =)

love the grazing…and where did you find nectarines that weren't a total rip off? i want peaches and necatarines and plums but they're all like, 2.99 a lb!

    I am a huge grazer. It's like a second full-time job for me. 🙂
Your pictures of watermelon always make me crave some!

Sometimes a grazing dinner is the way to go! Who says everything has to be on one little dinner plate! 🙂

Ha! My dog is so picky, she would turn up her nose at stuff like that!
One time I put grapes in her dog food, and covered them up with more dog food but as she was eating she noticed them and looked at me like "What do you think you are doing?" Lol

This is a weird question, but I am gonna ask it: Does your husband or anyone else call you "Cait"?

My sisters name is Caitlin and all my life I have called her Cait for short, just wondering if it's the same for you!

stacey – not really! most people who are good friends with me call me katie though. 🙂

oh, dont feed your doggie grapes or raisins! there is a chemical in them that cause kidney damage in pups! just an FYI. carrots, watermelon, celery, apples, etc are safe though.

GAhhh! No wonder she was looking at me like that!! She probably thought I was trying to kill her, lol. Thanks for the heads up! 🙁 I feel like such a bad mommy now, at least she didn't eat them!

Oh what would I do without the blogworld?! 🙂

Thanks for the tips on what's good for doggies. I tried to give mine a raspberry the other day but she just smooshed it, haha. Love the watermelon! 🙂

  • april June 4, 2009, 7:31 am

I didn't have a real dinner either.. sometimes you just gotta go with what your craving!

  • Jess June 4, 2009, 7:36 am

I have a lot of grazing days, especially when I know I'll be stuck at work all day. For some reason, I just can't deal with having a normal meal at the office. I feel like eating at my desk takes all the fun out of a meal and some days I end up having snacks all day long. Kind of a random question, but do you ever get frustrated about not being able to sit down for a regular hot meal? Sometimes I love taking it easy and having cereal or something light and easy for dinner, but when it's out of necessity because of working late, it really bums me out.

  • Caitlin at Healthy Tipping Point June 4, 2009, 7:58 am

calabaza – yes i hate it! since i work from home during the day, i try to make my lunches a hot meal and "count" as the dinner. 🙂

  • Shannon June 4, 2009, 8:50 am
