Dinner on the Go

in All Posts

My mid-afternoon snacks were pretty typical.  Yogurt and cereal:

And an orange:

Dinner was eaten on the go — literally!  I had a few handfuls of cereal plus….

I threw together a Flat Out Wrap, Sabra Hummus, and cucumber and ate it in the car:

It was good! (There was a LOT of hummus. I promise).

I supplemented the meal with a glass of milk when I got home around 9:30.

Guess Who’s Coming for a SLEEPOVER?

Guess who’s staying with me tomorrow night?

My Meghann!  She’s staying over so I can drive her to the airport for MARATHON!  Ahh! I am so excited for her!  I remember running her first 15K  together. :)  She’s come so far!

Three cheers for Meghann!  Are you guys as excited to watch her race as I am?!  I love reading (and writing) race recaps. 🙂

Yay for sleepovers!! I hope you have fun, but no late nights with Meghann’s big race looming! Hopefully you can get in all the girl chat before midnight.

I love reading race reports, especially when I feel like I “know” the person!

Thank you so much for including “flashbacks” in terms of racing. I just finished my first 5K and am so proud. It’s nice to read about times when you were in the earlier phases of your running development. I appreciate that!

  • Meghann May 28, 2009, 3:42 am

    YAY FOR SLEEPOVERS!!! I <3 YOU! 🙂

  • Stacey May 28, 2009, 5:12 am

Gahhh! I am SO EXCITED for her! Since I can’t run, I am momentarily living vicariously through her, haha.

Go Meghann!! I know she will be fantastic!

You and Meghann are amazing. In such a short amount of time you both have quickly moved into long races – and you aren’t coming in last! Just shows that if many of us couch potatoes ready wanted to, we could improve our physical health by adding at least some regular exercise to our weekly schedule – which usually creates an improved mental perspective also. It has been motivating to read your journey to and past the “healty tipping point”. I love your blog.
