When my dad asked to take my friends and me out to dinner for my birthday, I jumped out the chance to go back to Royal Thai!  About an hour before we left, I had a bowl of fruit to hold me over:

Thai was excellent!  I was joined by my Dad, Husband, Harry, and Meghann.  It was a nice, intimate dinner.  :)

We started with Spring Rolls and Pork Dumplings:

I had a bit of each:

And I ordered Chicken Pad Thai for my entree.  Pad Thai is my favorite "indulgent" meal, and I figured turning 25 is as good as an excuse as any to splurge!

I ate… every…single…bit of this Pad Thai!  :)  Everyone at the table commented that they’d never seen me eat so much or so fast.  Haha! How lady-like of me.

Meghann brought me some AMAZING presents!

Total foodie friend presents:

  • New bowl and plates
  • Pack of Z-bars (YAY!)
  • Crunchy PB from TJ’s
  • Bag of Coconut Macaroon Coffee
  • 6 Pack of Honey Moon from the makers of Blue Moon
  • The Twilight Movie Director’s Notebook (!!)

What lovely and thoughtful presents! :)  Thank you, Meghann!

Again… this was a fabulous birthday, and I really appreciate all the kind comments. THANK YOU!  I hope you had a wonderful weekend, and I’ll see you tomorrow!

What a great weekend!!! And if you ever start a thai food-aholics anonymous I think you should consider my candidacy for vice-president. But instead of abstaining from thai-food I think we should just indulge in it more often. Whattya say? Oh and of course, HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY!

  • Danica's Daily April 26, 2009, 8:18 pm

I LOVE Pad Thai too – you are absolutely right – it’s your birthday and calories do not count on your birthday. Glad you indulged.

Speaking of Thai – I made an amazing Thai Coconut Curry Dish at lunch that is low in calories and fat – you should definitely check it out.

    Here is the link.

I also have a version of a VEGAN Pad Thai that I made up awhile back. You could add chicken to it to recreate your own version.

    Here is another link 🙂

I am glad you had an awesome birthday!
