For dinner, we headed back to Baxter, South Carolina to eat at the Six Pence Pub.

I am LOVING the Baxter area!  We drove around and checked out the houses again, and I’m truly obsessed with the area.  The fact that there’s a British Pub pretty much sold the place to the Husband as well.

We started off with some British beers.  I ordered a Shandy, which is a 1/2 Harp (a beer) with 1/2 Sprite.  MMM!  It’s so refreshing.

I ordered the Ploughman’s Lunch, which included a French Onion soup, a piece of French Bread, a side salad, a pickle, a pickled onion, and a "wedge" of cheese.

UM — this is NOT a "Wedge" of cheese.  This is a WHEEL of cheese! 🙂

I had about 2 bites of cheese and the rest of the Ploughman’s Lunch.  It was EXCELLENT.

Plus, another 1/2 of a Shandy and a bit of the Husband’s Fish and Chips…. now, that’s a CLASSIC British meal!

This was the perfect beer battered cod…. nice and crispy without the grease.

Time for bed!  We have a LOOOONG drive back to Orlando tomorrow morning.  🙂

The Shandy sounds pretty good…beer is a bit strong for me but mixed with Sprite doesn’t sound so bad!
