Afternoon! I’m doing pretty well without coffee (so far).  My morning cup of tea probably starved off any headaches from withdrawal. It’s not that I think coffee is BAD (I think it can be good, actually), I just hate the feeling of dependence, and that’s why I’m cutting it out for Crap Free Week.

I had a Crap Free Snack and a Crap Free Lunch… and they were both delicious!  I snacked on a perfectly delicious navel orange.

And lunch was a healthy stirfry.

CIMG1651

My stirfry contained:

  • 3/4 cup brown rice
  • 1/4 cup kidney beans
  • Steamed broc and sugar peas
  • 1 egg, fried in EVOO
  • Pepper and Paprika

I just cooked everything separately and threw it into the wok to brown it up. Yum!

CIMG1654

One of the other things I’m trying to do as part of Crap Free Week is drink a lot of water.  My water bottle comes with a handy "counter" so you can tell how many ounces of water you’ve drank.  Each "click" is 32 oz.

CIMG1647

I’m on #2! 🙂

Random Question:  What’s your favorite reality show of all time?  I loved Joe Millionaire SO MUCH.  Do you remember that one? That concept only really works for 1 season, though!

  • Erica February 5, 2009, 10:53 am

Good job with the caffine. Fav reality- hmmmmmmmmmmmmm gosh I can’t decide. Real Housewives of the OC, Top Chef, American Idol (is this considered reality tv???)

  • Sarah (lovINmytummy) February 5, 2009, 10:58 am

As far as the best reality shows, its got to be Top Chef, Project Runway, Idol and Survivor. As for as the “worst,” do you remember Average Joe? So sad and funny.

    Way to be crap free!!!

  • HangryPants February 5, 2009, 11:11 am

Average Joe was a good one Sarah!

    Very cool water bottle.

You will be so proud. I just downloaded soooo much B. Spears.

  • inmytummy February 5, 2009, 11:13 am

I like the granddaddy of all reality shows, The Real World.

  • Tami February 5, 2009, 11:13 am

the one that started it all…real world. i think the real world was the first reality show but has never gotten the credit for it. i haven’t watched it in years but i use to love it

  • Julie February 5, 2009, 11:13 am

Amish in the city!! It’s an oldie, and no on probably even remebers it but I loved it! 5 or so Amish kids movie to the city w/ 5 non-amish kids for “rumspringa”. They live in a house real-world style and do non-amish things. It was awesome. I kind of love Amish people, they facinate me.

  • brandi February 5, 2009, 11:14 am

That’s a cool water bottle! I’ve never seen one like that before.

I love Top Chef and Project Runway. We watch American Idol and Survivor sometimes, too

  • eatingtolivelovelaughtri February 5, 2009, 11:59 am

I am new to the blogging community but I wanted to say hi and commend you on the Crap Free Week. The caffeine would be the hardest thing for me because I am a coffee junkie.
Favorite reality show would have to be WIfe Swap. It always makes me very happy that I get to come home to my normal husband every night. There are some crazy people out there! : )

  • ksgoodeats February 5, 2009, 12:02 pm

  • Bec February 5, 2009, 1:07 pm

I have a major reality show addiction, love the hills, the city, Laguna beach, real housewives etc but I loved the show Joe Smoe or something where they tricked the guy into thinking he was on a reality show but really everyone else was actors. I think it was on Spike tv or something, either way it was ridiculous!

  • Meg February 5, 2009, 1:15 pm

I love to watch Baby Story on TLC.

  • Jewels February 5, 2009, 5:40 pm

Crap free week sounds like a great idea…and so much healthier than an extreme detox diet.

  • Kath February 5, 2009, 5:43 pm

Totally agree about the coffee dependence more than the drink itself.

And love that water bottle counter!!

  • Mica February 5, 2009, 6:31 pm

I have to admit, I kind of loved “Celebrity Fit Club”. I also went through a period of addiction to “Miami Ink” before I got my tattoo.

Good job keeping the caffeine money at bay. 🙂

  • Lauren February 5, 2009, 6:56 pm

How can anyone choose just one favorite mindless reality show…haha mine would include, Top Chef, American Idol, Hell’s Kitchen, The Hills, Biggest Loser, and my one guilty pleasure…A Shot at Love (mainly because it makes me feel a lot more grounded and fulfilled by how incredibly pathetic these people are!)

  • Angie Eats Peace February 5, 2009, 7:34 pm

I am still a “Real World” girl.

  • kelsey February 5, 2009, 8:03 pm

    Super cute water bottle!

  • Angie (Losing It and Loving It) February 6, 2009, 8:54 am

Oh the stir fry looks yummy! We had a stir fry a few weeks ago and it was one of my favorite meals EVER.

I’m a reality tv addict so it’s hard to pick one favorite but I guess if I had to, I would choose Big Brother or Amazing Race. But then again, I do love Survivor and The Bachelor. Ha ha!

  • Bridget February 6, 2009, 8:18 pm

    Stir fry looks amazing!!

thank you for your thoughts, too. I appreciate them so much. <3

I loved Joe Millionaire! It was a great show-especially with most of floor 16 watching! Now (in America), my favorite reality shows are mostly Food Network shows. In Japan, I watch a lot of the crazy game shows that are uniquely Japanese. It helps while studying the language, for sure!!! =)
