A Health(ier) Superbowl

in All Posts

Ohmigod, did you see that ONE HUNDRED YARD TOUCHDOWN right before the halftime??!?!  And Bruce Springsteen — he is a-maz-ing.

I’m loving the Superbowl! Go Steelers!

Earlier this afternoon, I started to fulfill one of my New Year’s Resolutions!  I’ve promised myself I will start to creatively write again in my spare time, with the hopes of writing a book.

I write all the time — for my full-time job and for the blog.  But I really need to focus on this other aspects of my writing, too.  I set myself up with some liquid courage (aka wine) and chocolate.

And… then I wrote! I just wrote nonsense, but nonsense is better than nothing!

I’d appreciate it if you guys would follow up on me if I don’t mention writing for a few days! I need motivation, and I’m going to try to write a little every day.

Then… IT WAS SUPERBOWL TIME!! Yay!! We decided to have a health(ier) version of Superbowl Food!

CIMG1519

We had Organic Chicken Sausages Italian Flavor (Red and Green Peppers) "hot dogs" on WW rolls.  We sliced them down the middle and placed on our George Foreman for 12 or so minutes.

I smothered mine in ketchup and mustard — soo good!

We also had sweet potato fries (baked in the oven and sprinkled with EVOO).

And corn!

Annnnd I had another glass of wine… Or two.  Whatever — it’s a drinking holiday.

Yum yum!

Back to the game!  AND a ONE-HOUR special of The Office is on afterwards!

Good job writing girl. Hold onto that “nonsense.” Sometimes it ends up being gold.

    Or just nonsense.

Yummy eats, and so healthy, too! I’m very impressed. (As I sit here in a gross food coma…whoops.)

I love that you want to write a book. I have always loved writing but now only do it in my journal or other personal spaces. Enjoy taking it up again!

i really hope you get your writing rolling – i used to write creatively a lot too (mostly poetry) but haven’t done it for a while, and now you’ve inspired me to take it up again 😀 also, my dad is a HUGE fan of bruce and over here it was 1:30am when he came on at half time and my dad stayed up especially to watch it!! i’m lucky that he loves him so much because last summer when he was over here in london doing concerts, he my mum, my sister and i to one of them and it was FANTASTIC!!! completely fell in love with him! i’m sure you appreciate his amazing lyrics too 😀
