Please Stop the Disasters!!

in All Posts

I woke up this AM and was immediately confronted with two major issues:

  • Get my front two tires replaced – $225 gone.
  • Discovered Maggie was licking the bottom of the shower because she was so desperate for water.  Future Husband is taking her into the vet at 10:30 because clearly something is wrong with her.  I’m a little freaked out!

Breakfast was fast and furious…. a basic oatmeal.

I couldn’t even finish it, but it was delish!

Off to RELAX at a manicure/pedicure with Sarah, and then hopefully I will be able to get in a run in.

BREATHE, CAITLIN, BREATHE!!!!!!!!

I remember I was going crazy the week before my wedding, but it stopped once I went to get my nails done. I got mine done the day before the wedding and it began total relaxation mode for me. 🙂

does your pet’s breed have diabetes as a potential health problem? i really hope that’s not the problem, but it’s almost what it sounds like! poor baby – i hope she’s okay!!

Noooo you’ll ruin your pedicure by going for a run AFTER. I’ve even ruined my pedicures by going cycling the very next day.

But good luck with the tires and the doggy! Rather spend $225 and be safe, knowing that you can trust your tires, than ending up in an accident because your tires weren’t safe (and having to pay much, much more).

  • RhodeyGirl/Sabrina December 31, 2008, 8:13 am

    it will be ok!

  • Carolina John December 31, 2008, 8:13 am

BTW, something must be going around. My wife broke a toe yesterday, and we’re supposed to run our first half marathon on saturday! ya think she can run a half marathon with a broken toe? she’s going to try. i think it would be like you trying to drive to the golf course on 2 flat tires. is there a full moon or something?

oh my gosh! Its weird how so many things decide to go wrong just days before a big event. I’m sure its hard to think about being thankful at times like that, but I still look at the bright side – such as how you are getting married in a couple days, your fiance was available to take Maggie to the vet, etc. Anyhow, i hope you were at least able to enjoy your mani/pedi =)

  • Melissa December 31, 2008, 8:58 am

Aw, good luck hun!!! keep in mind, it all works out!

Oh, and in case we don’t get to chat before your big day, remember on Saturday to LET IT ALL SOAK IT ALL IN!

Someone gave us this piece of advice right before the wedding and it was a Godsend : during your wedding day, make sure you guys steal some time together and ENJOY IT! Seriously, the day flies by and before you know it, it’s over. So take him aside and just “be in the moment” and enjoy it!!!!

    🙂

It’ll be okay…I had to get all FOUR tires replaced yesterday. Has to be done at some point and, hopefully, won’t come again for several years! You’ve got helpers there, let them help you! Maggie will get better, may just need some help. It’ll be fine.

  • Halie December 31, 2008, 9:10 am

Oh dear, I sure do hope Maggie is ok! Enjoy yourself today and certainly enjoy the relaxation 🙂
