English Breakfast

in All Posts

Morning! If you celebrate Christmas, I hope you are enjoying time with your family.

I’ve pretty much decided today is a no-splurge day. I feel like I’ve been eating Christmas cookies and candies non-stop and all I really want is a normal food day!

I woke up around 7 AM and opened presents with Future Husband, his sister, and his parents.  His sister gave me some make-up (yay!) and his parents gave us a large canvas of one of our engagement pictures, which I love!  Thoughtful gifts are so nice.

My sister-in-law, her boyfriend, and I decided to go on a pre-breakfast run.  I had a quick snack before leaving.

Just toast, PB, and tea.  I ate another slice of toast because it took us about 2 hours to actually leave the house! 🙂

We did about 3.0 miles through a nature preserve.  It was nice to have some running companions.

When we came back, my mother-in-law, a family friend, and I set to work in the kitchen making a huge breakfast buffet for our 10 guests.

A traditional English Breakfast must include:

  • Eggs
  • Toast
  • Baked Beans (English style, no sugar like ours)
  • Bacon or sausage
  • Grilled tomatoes
  • and some sort of Pudding

We made a basic English Breakfast with some American home fries.

I had eggs, home fries, turkey bacon, and baked beans.

With a large piece of dry toast.

Back to the festivities! Enjoy your day!

Yeah I can understand the whole "tiredness of sweets." I haven't even eaten that many, but my body just isn't used to them, maybe that's it!? Healthy foods just make me (us) feel better, ya know? But still, enjoy your holiday and MERRY CHRISTMAS! 😀

    Merry Christmas, Caitlin!
I’m getting back to clean eating today too! There has been too much splurging this season for me. I’m ready to stop the sugar shakes 🙂
