Magically Recovered!

in All Posts

I’m all better now! I think I was just extremely stressed out and tired, and my body rebelled. I’ve always been the type of person who really internalizes stress, but I’m trying to learn to deal with it in a more healthy and productive way (like yoga).

So, after 9 glorious hours of sleep, I feel much better.  I’m sure all your good wishes were helping me recover as I slept. THANKS!

I wanted to tell everyone about Bobbi’s fun new contest called Pile on the Miles.  A group of bloggers/readers are keeping track of their miles from November 8 to November 30, and whoever has "piled on the most miles" wins a surprise basket from Bobbi herself. It seems like a fun way to stay EXTRA motivated during the holidays, so head over to Bobbi’s and sign up!

Breaking from oatmeal, I made egg white French toast.  So crunchy, so delicious!

On the side, I had some maple syrup for dipping and a sliced banana.

A cup of joe, sweetened with vanilla Stevia (which will be available for purchase on our holistic supplement website…. coming tomorrow or Friday!).

It was a highly satisfying breakfast and just what the doctor ordered after a very lame dinner. 🙂

 Plans, Plans

I cannot WAIT for the work week to be over, because we have some RIDICULOUSLY exciting plans for the weekend!  Future Husband and I are house-sitting his parents’ house… err… mansion.  Woo hoo!

We’ll be 5 minutes from the beach and have access to a private pool and jacuzzi.  Their community has the world’s most awesome running trails (along the intracoastal and through mangrove preserves!) AND we’ll be 20 minutes from St. Augustine, my favorite town in the whole world and the site of our engagement!  We both asked for Friday off, so we get to spend three days in uninterrupted PARADISE with NO WORK, NO CHORES, and NO WEDDING PLANNING.

I would probably be going nuts in anticipation, but I’ve got two fun girl dates planned!  Tonight, I’m meeting Lindsey from Life According to Mrs. LC at Whole Food for a dinner date and shopping.  Tomorrow, I’m meeting my one-and-only Meghann at a hair salon.  The salon is throwing a "girls’ night out" party with FREE up-dos, drinks, and food, so I’m basically getting another wedding hair trial run!

Writing this blog has been great because I’ve gone on so many blind "girl dates" since I started!  Meghann and I love to tell people we met on the Internet!  :)  Technology is so amazing.

What’s your favorite thing to do on a "friend date"? I love to meet up with a friend and go for a run!

It sounds like so much fun. I love getting up-dos. The last time I got one was when I was going to dances in high school. That brings back memories.

    Yay for girlfriends!!

I work in Philly but live in the suburbs just outside of the city. Once a week I will stay with one of my best girlfriends in the city – we go for a run, get all pretty and go out for dinner/a drink. We then tuck in with some episodes of Friends and have a sleepover! I LOVE having those plans mid-week and spending time with my girl!!!
