Judging is Time Consuming

in All Posts

WHEW! Future Husband just spent 2 hours judging the Athleta contest entries (there were 25 in all).  WE HAVE A WINNER! I’ll announce it tomorrow AM! I am quite excited!

So after my morning post, I had a Z-Bar while working on the holistic website.

…. And then I passed out in bed for an hour and half.  I was just so tired.  Running makes me sleepy. 🙂

When I woke up, I had Grape Nuts + yogurt and played with Maggie and James for a while.

I was insanely unproductive today.  All I managed to do for the wedding is book a trial run for my up-do (Friday at 1 PM!! YAY!!).  I still need to do the programs before next Saturday’s working ladies luncheon. ARG! My to-do list is never ending.  Can’t I just get married already!?!??!

I needed to chill out ASAP so I had a beer while I went through my old photo albums.  We’re making a slide show to be broadcast on the TVs in the golf club during the reception.

Dinner – Chicken and Pineapple Stir Fry

I think fried egg really completes any rice-based stir fry.

Our stir fry contained:

  • Brown Rice
  • Chicken wok-fried in water, pepper, Szechwan sauce, pineapple juice, and crushed pineapple
  • Steamed broc, flash fried in the wok
  • Fried egg
  • A smidge of butter

And for dessert, I raided the candy for the hotel guest Welcome Bags…. oops!

Good night! Sleep tight!

CAN’T WAIT TO POST THE ATHLETA CONTEST ENTRIES TOMORROW!!  You all are going to love it!

fried egg is so good! sometimes ill make fried eggwhites and combine it will tofu, brown rice and veggies. perfecto! so sad about melting pot closing… it is a bit pricey though 😉 i’ve never tried that specific beer but since i’ve seen it on your blog so often (and i like nearly everything you eat!!!)i might have to

Hey, Sundays were *made* for being thoroughly unproductive!! Gotta store up that energy for the workweek ahead…

Your to-do list reminds me of why I’m sure I’ll end up throwing in the towel and just eloping when it’s time to get married 😉

Aren’t stir-fries such a lifesaver? Yours looks about ten times better (and healthier) than anything you’d find on the take-out menu at Fu Lai.

Trust me, I feel your pain. I’m just starting, so neverending to-do list is all too familiar to me. I’m ready to elope!

Enjoy what’s left of your sunday!

awww now i kind of feel bad about bitching about the wedding planning! its not that its not fun, its just sometimes a little stressful. 🙁

I know! Judging is crazy time consuming! Again, I can’t wait to see the entries!! If you need ideas for your hair, let me know!

  • Oh She Glows November 2, 2008, 7:44 pm

I’m so excited to see who won!

Don’t worry about having an unproductive wedding day…it happens! Good luck on your trial up-do 🙂 Do you know what look you are aiming for?

  • Neesha and Dustin November 2, 2008, 7:55 pm

I feel you on wedding day stuff. It is rather hectic and super exciting…and stressful. And our wedding is way further out than yours! Sometimes when I read your blog, I start thinking I need to get on our wedding stuff! Then I remember we still have eight months-ish! 🙂

  • just me November 2, 2008, 7:58 pm

wooohoo! can’t wait to see who wins (even though i didn’t enter…i’m not very creative)!

and you weren’t completely unproductive cause you did get something scheduled, no?

and loved fried egg in fried rice…it seriously makes the meal, always!

Can’t wait to find out the winner! Quick question: what are you putting in the hotel welcome bags?

  • magpie November 2, 2008, 10:07 pm

Grape nuts are awesome! Have you ever tried cooking them in milk, like oatmeal? It is completely amazing. And drizzled with some honey = perfection.

  • Balance, Joy and Delicias! November 3, 2008, 4:53 am

The stress of wedding planning makes me want to avoid that big event…jeje….because I’m such a lazy person for planning big events. but I’m sure you’re doing great job and your wedding will be amazing.
great idea of stir-fry chicken with pineapples, never tried it before.

  • Caitlin (see bride run) November 3, 2008, 5:31 am

oh she glows – i have NO idea what i want to do with my hair… hence the need for a hair trial. my mom is going to go wiht me so hopefully she’ll be able to make a decision.

neesha – you’ve got a while. at the 8th month mark, i had booked all the major vendors, like a DJ, reception and catering, photographer, etc…. but you dont have to get into the fine details until 4 months to go.

just me – trueee…. i did get SOME stuff done! gotta be positive.

lyss – we are putting two bottles of water, a bag of candy, brochures from area attractions, and an informational sheet about the wedding and things to do in Orlando. i just want to help the guests feel a little more settled when they arrive. i’ll take a picture of the bags soon!

magpie – yes, Grape Nuts is SO good warm!

balance – haha its all worth it, trust me. sometimes i think about how that day is going to feel and i just want to scream from happiness. 🙂

  • wholefoodswholeme November 3, 2008, 5:45 am

when your big day comes, i’m sure all this stress will vanish and be history, and you’ll be so proud of all your hard work and feel it was completely worth it 😀

your egg fried rice looks scrumptious!! better than any chinese take away!
