A New Appreciation

in All Posts

I had a new appreciation for my well-paying office job.  Seriously!  This 10 hour shift at the kennel KILLED me.  I wish I could convey to you how SORE my body is.  You guys know how much I run, and seriously…. running 10 miles doesn’t even come CLOSE to comparing to working 10 hours at the kennel.  I am pooped!

I walked about thirty dogs four separate times, played loads of fetch, weaseled my way out of cleaning the kennel, fed everyone breakfast AND dinner, and cleaned up lots of pee pee and poop poop. 🙂

Around 12:30, I came home for lunch, which left me 10 minutes to eat.  I was too exhausted to do anything but make cereal + yogurt + raisins. :(  I should’ve had vegetables.

During the afternoon shift, I had two snickerdoodle cookies (homemade).  They were sooo delish! And I had ANOTHER bar.

When the time comes for me to go back to an office job and I can no longer work from home, I will definitely plan my lunches and snacks better!

I came home tired, smelly, and cranky, but Future Husband had a surprise waiting for me!

Dinner + wine + lottery tickets!

I hope we win!!!

Future Husband made stuffed chicken.  It was stuffed with hummus, tomato, and onions and slathered in Organic BBQ sauce and topped with mushrooms before baking.

It was SO unique and yummy! A very nice change.  He’s a pretty creative cook.  I ate 1/2 of the chicken.

With brown rice and broc on the side.

I’m going to finish this glass of wine and see where the night takes  me! I convinced another worker at the kennel to pick up my Sunday shift (I am done with slave labor, thank you very much!), so I have ALL day off tomorrow. :)  Yay!

awww… that manual labor does sound like a downer, but atleast you got to play with Puppies! And I know FSU is getting creamed. I blame their losing on my consumption of wings, chips, beer and cie cream tonight. Oh well.
