Well, I guess that was inevitable.

Henry’s sick; I’m sick; it’s only a matter of time before the Husband, Maggie, James, and Pippa get sick, too.

I’m stepping away from the keyboard to try to recoup.  I’ve got no time for sickness.

Until then…

Everything is better is bagel format.

A fun question:  Who do you think will win X-Factor tonight?  I’m LOVIN’ Fifth Harmony.

I think Carly Rose and Tate Stevens peaked too soon.

Oh no. That stinks. I work with kids and seem to get every cold that goes around. :( Boo.

And I’ve never tried brown syrup on pancakes; I stick to local honey or maple syrup. Yum!

Oh no, I’m sorry to hear that you are sick now too! I’m sure trying to care for a sick baby AND yourself is no fun at all. Rest up, pound those vitamins, and down the water! On a positive note, your bagel French toast looks delicious!!

You seem to use a lot of brown rice syrup. I remember hearing about high levels of arsenic found in organic brown rice syrup, is that something you’re concerned about?

Not really….

Looks like it’s not something to freak out about, but something to pay attention to: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/dr-gary-ginsberg/whats-the-advice-for-arse_b_2218448.html

I’ve also read about the high arsenic levels in brown rice syrup, brown rice and white rice products. I would especially be concerned if I were breast-feeding!

I always say that mommies get sick when their babies do so they know exactly how their babies feel. :(

Ugh, hopefully the sickness doesn’t go past you and Henry! It’d be awful to have an entire sick household.

Gillian December 20, 2012 at 2:56 pm

Love Carly Rose… but you are right, I think she peaked too soon. The 5th Harmony girls are just so sweet, with so much personality… I hope they win tonight :)

This may sound crazy but my grandmother always had us put eucalyptus essential oil on the bottoms of out feet before bed when we were super congested and I swear it always helped dry up the mucous.
