Sleep, Kick, Eat

in All Posts

A big thanks to everyone who commented on The Athena and Clydesdale Category post.  Turns out, this was quite timely because the USAT just changed the official triathlon rules to make the Athena category 165 pounds and the Clydesdale category 220 pounds.  The new rule goes into effect on January 1, 2013.  I also wanted to link back to a post by Swim Bike Mom called Athena: Goddess of Too Fat? (thanks Alyssa for the heads up!).  It’s a really well-written and funny piece on owning the category.

The only triathlon that I’m doing this morning is sleep, get kicked in the ribcage by BabyHTP, and eat breakfast.  Perhaps not as exciting (where’s my medal?!) but fun, nevertheless. Smile

Only the tastiest fuel for a woman who’s about to go back to sleep!

Naw… all joking aside, today is gardening today.  I somehow convinced Nicole to come over and help me garden the front beds.  That is surely the sign of a true BFF.

Remember last weekend’s before and after?

Now, it’s time for the AFTER-after – pretty flowers.

One day, I will tackle the backyard.  It currently looks like a groundcover jungle.  Improvements are not happening anytime soon.

Have a wonderful Saturday!

Your before and after with the mulch has me totally inspired to get our yard in shape!! I’m dying to plant a few pots of tomatoes and spices 🙂

oh gosh, I remember when my mom would mulch the garden in the spring! I loved to help spread it all out!

I give you a lot of credit. I absolutely HATE yard work. I would rather do any other household chore.

Same here! I’d much rather do pretty much anything else.

Random question unrelated to the post but how is your (old) neighbor Tonya doing?

    • CaitlinHTP April 14, 2012, 3:16 pm

She’s doing okay. The doctors don’t really have info for her on how to proceed (it’s untreatable) so it’s a wait and see thing. She is doing pretty well though now that she’s off of all the pharm drugs (she was on anti seizure meds which really messed her up).
