The response to Operation Beautiful has been so positive that I have created a new blog just for the mission. Go to http://www.operationbeautiful.com/ to read the latest notes!
One of my biggest personal crusades is ending Fat Talk. If my little blog only does one productive thing, I hope it helps readers realize how truly toxic fat talk is — it hurts you emotionally, spiritually, and physically. I want to reach as many people as possible with my End the Fat Talk message. If you’ve never read my Fat Talk page, check it out here.
Recently, I stumbled upon the Gives Me Hope website, and I was inspired to start my own random act of kindness crusade — Operation Beautiful.
Operation Beautiful is simple: all you need is a pen and a piece of paper.
I’ve begun leaving positive messages on the mirrors of public restrooms — at work, at the gym, at the grocery store. I scribble down whatever comes to mind — "You are beautiful!" or "You are amazing just the way you are!"
My goal is to leave as many Operation Beautiful notes as I can. Maybe some people read them and just smile, but I bet some people are truly touched by the effort of a random stranger.
If you want to join the mission, send me an e-mail at seebriderun@gmail.com with a photograph of your Operation Beautiful note or a description of your experience, and I’ll post it on my blog and on this page! And feel free to spread the word on your blog as well!
Join the movement and send me a photo of your Operation Beautiful note at seebriderun@gmail.com. And go to www.OperationBeautiful.com to read the latest notes!

Such a touching idea! You can be sure New Yorkers will start seeing notes like these all over the city soon
I love this idea!
I LOVE that idea, and the next time I'm out and about in a public place, I'm going to leave my own note, which of course I'll tell you about!

I love this idea! I know I struggle with fat talk all the time, and seeing your post really made me smile!
i LOVE it
What a great idea! I get so sad and uncomfortable when I hear my female co-workers taking about how much weight they need to lose or how fat they feel after eating lunch. I want to tell them "Stop! You're perfect just the way you are".
This is such a great idea, I'm totally in and will be posting about it on my blog to help spread the word
Caitlin, I think this is a fabulous idea! Fat talk truly does hurt us all, and I love how you're fighting it, one post it at a time. I may have to leave one at work.
I'm guilty of fat talk and you're right, it's so destructive and there's completely no need for it. So i'm definitely up for 'Operation Beautiful'. I'll keep you posted…

OMG… this is a great idea. I always have post-its in my bag, I'll definitely join in!
What an awesome idea! I think I'll be doing this soon…
This reminded me of when my boyfriend drew a circle on the mirror in his bathroom, put an arrow pointing to it and wrote "See a beautiful face here"
That made me smile! Sometimes I write notes to myself at home, but I should do it more often
Great idea
Awesome idea. I'm in!
You are a sweetheart.
Check out: http://www.thedressingroomproject.org
eliza – oh sweet! im so glad there are other people doing this too!!
Oh my gosh. You have no idea how perfect the timing of this post is for me.
Last night, after a little too much food indulgence I burst into tears, and wallowed in self pity, calling myself fat, feeling terrible and ugly. It was awful. It was also stupid! I'm happy to report that I feel much better today, but, I've still been battling that feeling of "fat/ugly" all morning and it's terrible–I know how ridiculous and how damaging it is–i KNOW that, but, it's a habit–albeit, a bad one, but, a habit!
Anyways, thanks, this really hit home.
this is beautiful. i am in awe!
i'm heading out to buy some new gym pants, and i am so leaving a post-it in the dressing room!
such a great idea. When I lived in the dorms in college, my RA used to write messages like that on our mirrors!
btw I love that last note!
What a sweet and inspiring quest! I think all women could use a little boost now and then. Why are we so hard on ourselves when we would NEVER be so cruel to our friends? Can't wait to start spreading the message!
what an amazing idea!! I love it! I am going to do it too!
What an inspiring idea, Caitlin! I love how you are always so positive
I want to leave a positive note now… maybe I'll start with my own bathroom!
I'll mention this on my post tonight!
Love it! I will be doing this!
This is awesome Caitlin! What a great idea. I am definitely going to start doing this. Thanks for always being so inspiring
It's things like this that make you my favorite blogger!

Such a great idea, Caitlin!!!
This is a fabulous idea and bless you darling for making women feel loved, respected, and knowing that beauty is not only on the outside, but the inside too! I'm going to check out this website!
Caitlin, this is awesome. I'm doing this TODAY!
I was in a restroom on my college campus, and someone had written: "Remember that you are beautiful" on the toilet paper dispenser. It really makes me smile every time I see it
what a sweet idea!
Omg Caitlin, you are an absolute angel! I love this idea way more than you would ever know! It is time for women of all ages, sizes, and colors to come together and love each other and themselves for who they are and stop all envy, jealously, and negativity!
That's a great idea and I see it's already catching on! I'm gunna keep a post-it on me for next time I'm somewhere public
It says "awesome" in the bible?
Caitlin, this is a great idea!

http://www.nicole–marie.blogspot.com
Love this idea!!!
This is similar to something I did in high school when I was freaking out about passing my math class. I posted "You will Pass Math" stickers all over the place. It really kept me studying. This is such a great idea.
I cannot begin to express how wonderful I think this is! I am definitely taking part.
This is beautiful!!! Just like YOU! I will be joining in asap!;O)
This is amazing! I am a waitress and am sometimes tempted to write similar messages on checks for women who engage in fat talk while they're out to eat, which I think it so damaging, not to mention a waste of an enjoyable time! What a great idea. I'm glad I found your blog because I'm trying to start blogging about similar ideas… I will keep reading!!!
what a great idea! I will be posting notes tomorrow. I will see if I can get a pic to send!
I really needed to see this blog today, thank you so much!
I'm SO leaving a little note in the gym locker room today
I'll send you a pic!
You are so sweet to think of doing this! I love it!
you have such a big heart =)
I am going to put one in my gym
This is such a beautiful idea! It's about time that women practice self-loving instead of self-loathing.
what an amazing idea. i feel uplifted from it already and i'm not even the one finding them! i know women around the world are benefiting from this great idea of yours =)
Love this, L-O-V-E this! Thank you for sharing such great insiration when everyone needs it so much!
You Rock!
This sounds a lot like:
http://www.you-are-beautiful.com
I'm glad this kind of stuff is catching on
This is wonderful, thank you!
It reminds me of something I read and copied down this week:
"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate,
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small doesn't serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God within us.
It is not just some of us; it is in everyone,
And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same."
By Marianne Williamson
as written in the book "The Art of Possibility" Rosamund Stone Zander and Benjamin Zander
I've made it my goal to put up at least 3 of these around my town everyday.
Everyone should know how beautiful they are!
you should make this a group on facebook. that way word will spread faster and we can bring a little more hope into our world.
I love this idea soooo much!
Expect to see some floating around VA from now on!
I saw the growing number of stories like this on GMH and I was already planning to start it up in my area. Good to know there's a lot of us ready to make others feel wonderful too!
I agree with the flickr group idea. Or at least a Facebook fanpage or something huge like that. I'd love to help run that with whoever.
Keep up the inspiring work!
I came across your blog after reading about it on a friend's blog and wanted to say what a fantastic, beautiful idea. I will be sure to spread some positivity
this is so empowering!! well done to all…I shall be doing 'post-its' as well…in Sunny Wiltshire, Uk
Its about time we ALL loved ourselves!!
thank you for sharing..xxxx
Your video gave me chills! What an inspiration you are and a fabulous idea. I'm definitely going to join OB.
That is very sweet! Something everyone could definitely use – I know I could!
I did this yesterday at my summer school. I left notes on mirrors that said "you are beautiful!". I was inspired after i read the posts on givesmehope.com (:
This is an amazing idea. It's very inspirational-I love it!
I'm so gonna do this!!
Caitlin–you are literally changing the world one post-it at a time! Count me in to do my part! I just got my sticky note pad ready. Let's see where I can get…and I'll get a blog post up to spread the word as soon as I've gotten 10 notes up.
Love,
Egg Beaten Angel

I think Operation Beautiufl is a great idea! I'm the mother of 3 little girls and I tell them every day how beautiful they are. I can't wait to participate in this!
this is a beautiful idea. I am definatly going to help spread this positive note! you have such a unique soul <3 xo

What a great idea Caitlin. Fat talk is definitely something I indulge in quit often (about myself). I know it drives my hubby nuts. I don't know if it would be possible for me to stop it. It never hurts to try
~Justine
Spreading a smile like this is really cool. I'm gonna buy some post-its and go for it. :3
Caitlin, great idea – I'm going to put some post-its in my purse. To bad I didn't read this yesterday – I was in 3 airports today!
I will also try to inspire my emotional support students by putting random notes in their restroom.
Sometimes helping someone else feel better, helps you to also – Good Karma and all.
Keep up the good work.
Frances
This is a truly remarkable idea with beautiful consequences!
Favelle
you really inspired me…I find that is far too easy to be carried in the numbers on the scale and the yo-yo effect of severe dieting and then over-indulging on sweets has plagued me for years. your video reduced me to tears but also has made me arm myself with post-its and a pen in my bag. the time has come for women to take back their identity. thank you <3
This is an amazing idea, next time I go into town I'm fnna do it. : )
I'm going to do this in every bathroom I pass on the first day of school. Since we have classes all over the building, there should be quite a few notes around the building. This is an AMAZINGLY WONDERFUL idea, Caitlin.
doing it TODAY w/ friends all over the mall.
I did this with my little cousin today with post its at the mall! It was such a great experiance, Im going to do it every time I go out. We also stuck quarters in the vending machines to be nice
I did this yesterday in my dorm. I stuck little messages saying “You’re Beautiful” to everyone’s doorknobs. I saw alot of people keep them and smile. I think I’m going to make it a weekly thing.
I’m starting doing this today.
I’ve already written things on a whole pad of sticky notes, and they’re going around my school TODAY. :] <3
I love this idea! I’m am totally going to start doing this.
I have season passes at Disneyland and I will be going tomorrow and I am going to post these all over the park.
-Caitlin B
I’m writing out my sticky notes right now.
I’m going to post them around town tomorrow.
Even if you’re a man, you don’t have to post it in a bathroom. Scribble something about how someone is beautiful and give it to some woman, any woman and walk away. That would make me so happy.
I love the idea, and i would like to do it, the only problem is that im a male and I dont think itll work if i put up a “You’re beutiful” post-it note in the men’s bathroom
Maybe you can leave other messages instead of your beautiful.
Maybe an inspirational quote or something like that!
[...] participate in Operation Beautiful, all you have to do is leave an anonymous positive message (or several!) on mirrors in public [...]
This is an amazing idea! I am going to put these all around my High School!
) God Bless.
Operation Beautiful has inspired me to share the word. I now leave sticky notes in the library books that I return that say “You are beautiful on the inside and out”
I wonder if you’ve seen this? just thought I’d share it with you
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YptGXVrqm1Q
this is amazing what this operaton is doing. it has inspired me to carry sticky-notes and a pen with me where ever i go. i love what Operation Beautiful stands for
[...] everyone see Caitlin’s post today about Operation Beautiful? Please check it out if you haven’t already. It’s something I truly believe in and I cannot wait [...]
Caitlin..I found your site off GivesMeHope.com
I have never found anyone so amazing who’s so determined to give people hope..I am going to do what you are doing. Putting random notes up. It’s a wonderful idea (:
[...] June 22, 2010 About a year ago, I mentioned a cause I really believe in that was taking over the blogosphere by storm called Operation Beautiful, which was launched by Caitlin at Healthy Tipping Point. [...]
I am very self-conscious and if I got one of these notes it would brighten my day. I want to make someother girl feel like that. Count me in! <3
You are beautiful.
I love this idea and hope to start spreading these messages in the high school that I work in. I work with so many girls that have poor images of themselves. I can’t wait to start in September.
Thanks for the wonderful idea.
After 56 years of hating my body, going on my first diet at the age of 12, and feeling guilty because I ate when I was hungry, I think it is time to halt the negative talk. Your mission is a truly wonderful one, and it will change lives.
Saw you this morning on The Today Show!! What an inspiration! I can’t wait to try this out in Evansville,IN. If nothing else, it makes me feel better about myself!!!
Just saw The Today Show and was moved by the positive, beautiful, and much needed inspiration that Caitlin is spreading. I admit it also brought tears to my eyes to think of all the years I have wasted being uncomfortable w/ myself , instead of celebrating all that is good! I’m still learning in my mid 30′s to be nice to myself – and Miss Caitlyn , you showed up on a good day to remind me. Count me in – I will also spread the word about your book! Thank you for your brightness!
I do something similar to this and I absolutely love your idea!!! When I’m in the car by myself and I’m just driving down the road and see someone else driving alone, I wave and smile. People light up and smile back. Sometimes a smile from a stranger can change a life. I started doing this because one day I had an awful day but needed to go to the mall last minute. I was walking in the mall and a random girl i had never seen before gave me the cheesiest smile I had ever seen and then gave me a high five as she walked by.
I left my first two notes today, at a university restroom, one at the mirror and one in a stall. It gave me a big grin although I had a terrible day! I wanted to do this for a while (since I started reading sixbillionsecrets and gmh)and always forgot it. Not today
I hope someone read it and grinned as well.
I saw this AFTER what I did today. Before I returned my books about anorexia to the library, I put a sticky note in each one. They said “Smile, you’re beautiful!”
I know only girls with anorexia really read those. After all, I did check them out.
[...] Operation Beautiful – Healthy Tipping Point [...]
[...] participate in Operation Beautiful, all you have to do is leave an anonymous positive message (or several!) on mirrors in public [...]
Me, my sister, and my friend Anne are making a bunch of these, each with different sayings. Then we’re going to drive around town and put these in public restrooms and other places. You have inspired me so much and I want other people to feel how I do after reading this site; how beautiful you really are♥
I do agree with all the ideas you’ve presented in your post. They are really convincing and will definitely work. Still, the posts are very short for starters. Could you please extend them a little from next time? Thanks for the post.
Chaim Bagwell…
Hey, thanks for the post.Much thanks again. Awesome….
